Ben and I woke up to a lot of commotion in the middle of the night so I grabbed my clothes and put them on and so did Ben.
We walked out of my room and downstairs to where Cooper was giving out orders in the living room.
“What’s going on?” I asked.
“I just heard from Ezra and Morgan. They found Webber and had the evidence to back up everything that they had on him.” Cooper said.
“What’s happened with the werewolf council?” Ben asked.
“They resisted. They knew what Webber was up to and they just let him go. It ended in a fight.” Cooper explained and I gasped. I knew that the council wasn’t anyone that they should mess with.
“It’s alright. Ezra and Morgan are fine. They walked away from it. But the werewolf council is gone. There is no more council.” Cooper explained.
“What does that mean?” I asked.
“It means that they are going to have to find a new council. The Alpha’s will have to meet and put it to a vote on who they want on the council. And it will have to be soon.” Aiden said, walking into the room.
“Are they coming home now?” I asked.
“They’re on their way. You don’t have to worry. They’re safe and they have the evidence of the council using their power against their own kind. So, no one is going to hate mom or dad for this.” Aiden explained.
I relaxed a little when I heard that but I was also surprised that they had wiped out the werewolf council. The council that were the rulers of their own kind.
This whole world was so weird to me. I had grown up with human rules and laws. But it looks like werewolves just take everything into their own hands and the Alpha and Luna dish out punishments to people in their pack, like a judge or something.
I couldn’t go back to sleep after that so I got a coffee and I sat on the front veranda.
There was a lot of activity around the packhouse even though it was the middle of the night, but I couldn’t stay inside and listen to any of them talking about werewolf stuff.
“Yes, there are. Not very many, but I’m sure they will recruit more.” She said.
The door then opened and Ben walked out the front.
“What do you want?” Ben asked.
“I was just coming to see if anyone needed anything.” Ellen said.
“We don’t. And if we did, you’d be the last one we’d call. Now, get the hell out of here before Cooper or Aiden see you.”
“They aren’t going to do anything to me.” Ellen said.
“Aiden knows that you’re my ex. If he sees you here talking to his little sister, he’s going to kill you.” Ben said.
