Chapter 41
As soon as Ace told me that Morgan had stolen his car and left the territory, my stomach was in knots. I knew that I needed to find her. And now.
It wasn’t safe out there for her. She is a white wolf. If there is anyone out there that knows who she is, then she’s in a lot of danger.
I gathered warriors together and one of them went to get my car.
We had a convoy of three SUV’s and we were started to load them up when Penelope came around the front of the packhouse with her friends.
Levi got me a map of the area and we saw the highway leading out of the pack and down the highway. There were so many roads that turned off of the highway that led to different highways and different towns. She could have taken any of them. So I started giving my warriors their orders and which roads they had to take.
“What’s going on? Where are you going?” She shrieked at me.
“Pack business. Get back to the party.” I demanded, getting into the passenger seat while a warrior drove.
We left down the driveway and straight onto the road that led out of town.
She had at least a couple of hours on us so we needed to pick up the speed if we were going to catch up to her.
I kept looking out for Ace’s car, but the road was completely quiet. There weren’t any cars on this road.
I was starting to doubt that she had gone this way. That was until I saw skid marks on the road and I ordered my driver to stop.
He slammed on the brakes and I got out of the car and I followed the marks to the side of the road and that’s where I found Ace’s car.
“Oh no.” I said to myself.

It had crashed into a tree and I ran over to the open driver’s door.
She wasn’t inside of it. But I could smell her scent and blood..
It was smeared all over the door and it was on the inside of the car as well.
I walked to the front of the car and there was a bloody print on the tree that it had crashed into.
I started walking into the woods and my warriors were following me.
I was following the blood trail when my cell phone started ringing.
“Hello.” I answered.
“Alpha. I just found out who Penelope has hired to follow you.” Levi said.
“Who?” I asked.
“It’s one of her friends. She’s the one that’s been in town for the last couple of weeks, from her old pack.” Levi said,
“I didn’t know that she had a friend staying at our pack.”
“I know. And she probably knew that as well.” Levi said.

“You get that friend and get whatever evidence you can off of her. Don’t let her tell Penelope anything.” I demanded.
“Beta aura?” He asked.
“Definitely.” I said, hanging up.
I kept following the blood trail for about 20 minutes into the woods when it suddenly stopped.
There was no more blood to find and I told the warriors to spread out and start searching around here.
This is where the blood trail stops and her scent. She has to be here somewhere.
So everyone started searching the woods and the other warriors soon joined us when I told them that we found the
car.
They had come back from the other roads that I told them to search down.
We were looking for a while when we came up with nothing. No body, no more blood, nothing. Like she just vanished into thin air.
“Alpha. She’s not here.” A warrior said to me.
“Maybe she stopped bleeding and kept going.” Another one said.
“Or maybe she was taken. There’s no more footprints and her scent stops here. She’s not out here in these woods.” I said.
Suddenly, an even worse thought came to me. What if the feeling I got before wasn’t her rejecting me. What if she’s dead? I don’t know what it feels like to be rejected. Maybe that was the mate bond dying with her.
It was the worst pain I had ever felt. So, it’s possible that she’s dead. That’s what I was feeling. Someone found her out here, someone that hates me and they would have known that she was from my pack.
