MORGAN’S POV

I had just gone into the packhouse to get another coffee when I came back to the veranda and Ezra was standing there, on the phone. Looking a little worried about something.

“Who’s on the phone?” I asked. But he turned to look at me and using hand gestures he was telling me to be quiet. And he concentrated on the person on the phone.

“My girlfriend. Look Logan, I don’t know where Morgan is but I will call a few Alpha’s around this area. Maybe they’ve heard something.” Ezra said. And once he said that, I practically held my breath.

He got Logan off the phone pretty quickly after that and I let out a sigh of relief.

“Did he believe you?” I asked.

“I think so. But I think you should be extra vigilant from now on.” He said.

“I will be. I’m so sorry. I had no idea that he would call you.” I said.

“I know. He’s calling all the Alpha’s. He thinks you’ve been abducted. And he thinks another Alpha is doing it to punish him.” Ezra said.

“It wouldn’t surprise me if that did end up happening.” I said.

“Tell me about it.” He said.

“I think your boys downstairs are waiting.” I said, looking at the warriors who were standing around looking at us.

“Get back to fucking work and mind your own business.” Ezra yelled. So they all got back to training and I started laughing.

“Do they expect something to happen if they keep looking at us?” I asked.

“They probably do think that there’s something going on between us.” Ezra said.

“Well, no offense to you, but I am just getting over something pretty intense.” I said.

“You don’t need to apologize. I wouldn’t go there with you. Not now anyway.” He winked as he walked off the veranda.

I just shook my head and sat back down with my school books.

It honestly felt like I had a couple of older brothers right now. It isn’t something that I was expecting.

I knew that this was a safe haven. But I never expected to get along with Ezra and Nathan as well as I do. It’s pretty amazing for me, actually. I haven’t had friends like this in a long time.

And after the way they acted, I’ve been wondering for the last five years if they were really my friends. Or if they were just my friends because my father was the head warrior and they were too afraid to mess with me.

Who the hell knows.

But now, I feel like I’ve actually found somewhere that I belong. And they don’t make me feel like I’m not wanted.

That afternoon Ezra had to force me inside to go and have dinner with him and Nathan. They put my books on the coffee table in the living room so I couldn’t reach them.

They told me that I had to eat and they weren’t going to take no for an answer.

I sat down and ate as quickly as possible. I wanted to hurry up and get back to the school work. Time was running out and I had a lot of crap to catch up on.

I wasn’t taking easy classes and it was going to take a lot for me to get through them all.

The one that was going to be an effort for me is the preliminary med class that I needed to take.

That is compulsory for every werewolf college, because werewolves are always getting into fights and getting hurt. They wanted to make sure that as many people as possible knew how to take care of them if there was no one else available.

It always made me wonder why no one else helped out at Logan’s pack hospital. It was just the doctor that ignored me the first time I had been taken in.
