As Owen was standing in my bedroom, looking through my desk, he had some of my books in his hand that he had been going through and he actually looked at me like I had done something wrong.

He was looking at me like I shouldn’t have interrupted him and he had every right to be snooping through my

stuff.

“I said, what the fuck are you doing in here?” I yelled.

So he straightened up and tried to look imposing to me, when I felt someone walk up behind me. Bigger than me and intimidating in his own right.

I didn’t need to turn around to know that it was Ezra. And pretty soon Nathan was standing behind him as well.

“What? She said that she was going to break into the office to find out why I’m not Alpha again.” Owen tried to

argue.

“I would never betray Ezra’s trust like that. And he knows that. If I really wanted to know about you then I’d just ask him.” I said.

“And you think he’d tell you the truth?” Owen asked.

“I will accept any answer he gives me.” I said.

“Get the fuck out of my house, dad. Now.” Ezra threatened, walking in front of me.

“Fine. But I know that bitch is hiding something and she’s going to bring this whole pack down. You made a big mistake letting her in here.” Owen said, squeezing past all of us to get out of the room.

“Yeah. We’ll make that decision on our own.” Nathan said.

Owen just growled as he sulked off down the hallway and down the stairs.

“Are you alright?” Ezra asked.

“Yeah. He just surprised me.” I said.

“I’m sorry. The man is an asshole.” Nathan said.

“He didn’t hurt me. It’s all good. Don’t worry.” I said. And then I saw a very drunk Maddy come stumbling up the hallway and Nathan had to catch her.

“Hey Morgan. Nice to see you again.” Maddy slurred.

“Yeah. It’s been 10 minutes.” I said.

“Okay. Well, we’ll see ya later.” Nathan said, helping her up the hallway to his room and they closed the door.

“Are you sure you’re alright?” Ezra asked.

“Yeah. He just surprised me. I don’t know what the hell he was doing here.” I said.

“Probably trying to figure out what you’re doing here. He’s extremely paranoid. And since we won’t tell him what pack you come from, he’ll think that you’re here to spy on us.” Ezra explained.

“If we explain it to him, will he tell Logan where I am?” I asked.

“Definitely. He doesn’t like that there’s someone else in the packhouse. Listen, we don’t see them that often.

Usually just at events like this. You won’t have to worry about him.” Ezra said.

“Alright. Well, I better get to sleep. I’ve got a big day and it’s already late.” I said.

“No worries. I’ll see you in the morning.” He said.

So I went into my room and closed the door and I looked through everything to make sure that Owen didn’t take anything.

I got changed for bed and I carefully hung up the dress and then I got into bed.

It was a little hard to get sleep that night. I was staring at the ceiling with my hand over my stomach, wondering if I’m making the right decision or not.

I knew that if I went back to my pack then Logan would own me. He would keep this baby and probably try and take it off of me.

He doesn’t need me if I just produce the heir of his pack.

I finally decided that it was right because he and Penelope are going to have heaps of kids. If she’s not too freaked out about being pregnant and getting fat.

Even if she is, no doubt she’ll probably make an omega have the baby for her so she doesn’t have to go through the ordeal.

The next morning when I got up I had to get ready for school and I made sure that I had everything I needed that day. 1

When I went downstairs I got some breakfast and I sat on the veranda with a coffee.

Maddy came stumbling out of the front door of the packhouse with her hair all messed up and holding her shoes, while wearing the same dress as last night.

“Morning.” I said. And she jumped because she didn’t see me sitting there.
