Chapter 66
Suddenly someone grabbed me from behind and I turned around and punched him in the throat and he fell back against the far wall, gasping for air.
“Jax.” I said.
“Yeah. It’s me. What the fuck was that?” He asked.
“How the hell was I meant to know that was you?” I asked.
Ezra and Nathan then came out of their rooms, hearing the commotion and they walked over to us.
“What’s going on?” Ezra asked.
“In there.” I said. So Ezra looked in my room and he pulled his head back in disbelief.
“Why are you here Jax?” Nathan asked.
“Because I saw someone running from the house. You wanted me to make sure that Morgan was safe, so I sent some warriors after the guy and I came inside to make sure that she was safe.” Jax said.
“He snuck up behind me and I punched him in the throat. I didn’t know it was him.” I said.
“It’s fine. Don’t worry about that. Are you saying that someone was doing this while we were home?” Ezra asked.
“Yeah. I just saw him fleeing out the backdoor.” Jax said.
“I’ll go follow up with the warriors.” Nathan said, going downstairs.
I turned to look and I saw a girl at both of their doorways, waiting for Ezra and Nathan to come back in.
“Ezra.” One of them sang out.
“I’m busy. Either wait or get dressed and leave.” Ezra said.
“Wow. What a gentleman.” I said, sarcastically before I walked into my room.
I started looking through everything in my room to see if they had taken anything but I couldn’t see anything of use that was gone.
“So, they broke into this place but didn’t take anything.” Ezra said.
“That’s what it looks like. And sent me an obvious message. I wish they could have been clearer though. I don’t get what they’re trying to tell me.” I said.
“Do you think it could be Logan?” Ezra asked, quietly.
“I don’t see how. Apparently he thinks I’m dead.” I said.
“Yeah. I’ll believe that when I actually see it. He probably just said that to me because I am probably the most likely person to help you.” He said. 1
“Well, if that’s the case and he has someone inside your pack then he already knows that I’m not dead. Unless this is something completely different.” I said.
“We can’t rule anything out.” He said.
I started trying to clean up my room and Ezra walked in with Jax and started helping me.

My clothes had been thrown all over the floor and while the other two were busy, I made sure that I checked the back of my closet to make sure that the book from Logan’s pack was still hidden behind the wall.
Luckily, it was. Because that’s the only proof that Logan would need to know that I was still alive. And there is no way I was about to let that happen.
The more I think about it. The more I think about him and Penelope, the more I realize, I have to keep my child away from them.
I don’t want them taking my kid and raising it as theirs. Which is a definite possibility if he refuses to make me
his Luna.
Since the baby is his heir, he has every right to take it off of me. And I can’t do that. I won’t be able to live without my baby.
We were up all night cleaning my room and then I went downstairs to get a coffee.
Nathan didn’t end up finding the person that fled from the house, and the women that were waiting for Ezra and Nathan ended up leaving in the early morning hours.
I guess they got sick of waiting. No matter how many times I told Ezra not to leave his girlfriend waiting, Ezra always replied that she wasn’t his girlfriend.
