The Omega and The Arrogant Alpha (by Kylie) novel Chapter 88

Chapter 88

We chartered a private plane from the pack and it was Ezra, myself, Aiden, Savannah and their nanny Paisley.

We flew into Boston, arriving there at 10am in the morning. Because if we drove, it would have taken 9 hours and that was way too long for the kids to be stuck in a car. And I wouldn’t want to stop once we were on the road.

As soon as we got in to Boston, we rented a 7-seater SUV and we drove to Maine where it was snowing again.

I hadn’t seen snow in five years and I really didn’t miss it.

When we got to the hotel we checked in that afternoon and I made sure that everyone was alright.

Ezra kept asking if my phone was charged and I assured him that it was. And his number was still speed dial 1. I would be able to call him the second something goes wrong. But we’re marked mated. He’ll know if something happens to me. Something bad anyway. He’ll feel it too.

He kissed me goodbye and I could feel his worry and his anxiety but I did everything to assure him that I would be alright.

I then hugged and kissed the kids goodbye and I said that I will try to be back tonight. If not, I will definitely be back tomorrow night.

I told Paisley to try and keep them busy and she said that she would.

That was something else that I loved about the mate bond. Ezra would never cheat on me. He doesn’t even find other women attractive. Not even if they were the most beautiful women in the world. And that’s how I knew that I could trust him with everything that I had. 1

I went back downstairs to the car and I left the hotel and I went straight to the Night Walker Pack.

I slowly approached the border, but I was surprised to see that there were no patrols on guard.

I slowly cross the border in the car, looking out everywhere in case it was a trap but there was no one to be seen.

I started slowly driving through town and it was still only late afternoon and there weren’t too many people around.

I knew that was really unusual for this time of the day. I couldn’t help but wonder where everyone was.

When I pulled up outside of the hospital, I got out of the car and there weren’t many people wandering around out

there either.

I knew that there was something really weird going on here.

I went inside the hospital and there were people in the waiting room, but none of them were talking. They all looked pretty haggard and not the way this pack used to look.

They actually all looked like omega’s, but some of them looked familiar, and I knew that they weren’t omega’s.

“Can I help you?” A nurse asked.

“Yeah. I’m looking for my mother.” I said.

“What’s her name?” She asked.

“Violet Jameson.” I said.

“She’s right this way.” The nurse said, looking at me strangely.

I don’t doubt that they know who I am. I’m the omega that ran away five years ago. I’m sure Logan would have let everyone know that my behavior wasn’t acceptable. I really hope he wasn’t punishing the whole pack because of what I did.

That thought actually made my stomach sink.

Especially since I had found my true happiness somewhere else.

As the nurse showed me to a room, she opened the door and there was an empty bed in there.

“What the hell is this? Where’s my mother?” I asked. So she grabbed the chart at the end of the bed.

“She’s just gone to get some tests. She’ll be back shortly.” The nurse said, putting the chart back down and she left the room.

I sat on the chair next to the bed and I grabbed my phone out.

ME – I arrived. She’s apparently getting tests and I have to wait here until she gets back.

EZRA – Have you seen Logan?

ME – Are you kidding? I’ve barely seen anyone. This place looks like a fucking ghost town.

EZRA – That’s not normal. Not this early.

ME – I know. The sun is only just setting. So, I want to know where everyone is. The hospital seems pretty understaffed as well.
