When Vivienne Sinclair received the news that Julian had been beaten, she rushed straight to the Channings.
Seeing Julian battered into such a state, she lost her mind with fury.
Even though she knew they absolutely had to invite Stella back to the Sinclair family, she still couldn't stop herself from unleashing a massive fit of rage on Vincent Channing.
Vincent spent the entire time apologizing profusely.
It took a monumental effort to finally pacify Vivienne, allowing her to leave with Julian in tow.
That left only Beatrice and Vincent behind.
Vincent could no longer suppress the anger he had swallowed while playing the subservient fool. "That damn ungrateful daughter. Does she have a death wish?"
Just as he was about to announce he was heading to the office, his phone buzzed incessantly.
It was a call from the company.
Vincent answered, "Speak."
"Sir, Ms. Channing's people are here. They said they're heading to the finance department."
"Stop them."
Vincent gritted his teeth.
Her people were going to the finance department? What exactly was that wretched girl plotting?
Today, forget her people—even if she showed up personally, she wasn't setting foot inside the company.
"Not just her people. If she shows up, block her too," Vincent ordered viciously.
Did that little brat really think she could just snatch the company back whenever she pleased? He was the Chairman now.
With a single word from him, she could forget about even stepping through the front doors.
She might have turned the Channing Estate upside down, but she had no authority over Channing Group.
He was already the Chairman, and he refused to believe she had the power to casually dethrone him.
"Understood, Chairman."
Vincent hung up the phone.
He shot Beatrice a look and dropped a single sentence. "I'm going to the office."
"You're going to the office? What about the people from the Prescotts?"
Mentioning the Prescotts only made Vincent's expression darken further.
"Deal with them for now. Remember, do not offend them."
Leaving those words behind, Vincent stormed off.
Beatrice stood frozen in place. Her mind echoed with Vincent's warning not to offend them, and she trembled uncontrollably with rage.
He made it sound so easy.
Don't offend the Prescotts? Did that mean she was supposed to just agree to marry her precious Xander off to that simpleton?
The more Beatrice thought about it, the more the fire in her chest blazed out of control.
Looking down at the scattered belongings that belonged to her, Xander, and Valerie, she completely blew a fuse.
She screamed at the butler hovering by the door. "What are you standing around for? Pick this stuff up and bring it back inside."
