That was because she never actually had to face the consequences.
Sebastian was always right behind her, cleaning up every mess flawlessly.
Click. The moment the car door opened, Stella immediately slipped into the backseat.
Sebastian looked down at her. "Done hitting people?"
Stella replied, "You saw everything?"
Hearing her cold, edgy tone, Kellen felt a shiver run straight through his bones, regardless of what Sebastian might be feeling.
What kind of hell had this woman been living in for the past three years? Look at how fiercely demonic she was acting now.
How could she possibly have played the role of a submissive servant for three years?
Kellen silently agreed that this version of Stella was much easier to look at.
In the backseat, Sebastian grabbed her small hand, examining the redness on her palm. "Does it hurt?"
"It still stings."
But the physical sting helped numb the fiery anger in her chest.
Sebastian's warm palm wrapped around her small hand, and he brought it to his lips.
An electric thrill instantly shot through her palm.
Stella went rigid. "What are you doing?"
She instinctively tried to pull her hand back, but his grip tightened.
Her breathing grew uncontrollably heavier.
"Don't..."
The next moment, he looked up at her, his eyes entirely predatory, like a fox.
The words popped into Stella's mind: Male fox.
A wild and dangerously alluring fox.
"What did Lawrence's people want with you?"
Stella scoffed. "He wanted me to go to the office and pick up money. Five hundred million. Do you think that scumbag thinks I'm an idiot?"
He was broke. The entire Sinclair family had never been truly wealthy.
The only time they had ever seen five hundred million was when she handed it to them three years ago. And now he was asking her to come to the Sinclair Group to pick up five hundred million?
She'd be better off picking up his life.
Besides, his life wasn't even worth five hundred million.
