Arthur and Eleanor Sinclair.
Stella Channing had practically flipped the roof to drag them out of bed.
Though she was the one who caused the disaster, the suffocating tension in the living room made a fine layer of cold sweat break out across Vivienne Sinclair’s spine.
The two elders sat in the seats of honor, their expressions dark.
Vivienne and Julian Sinclair didn't even dare to sit. Ironically, it was Stella, who usually stood timidly beside them,
who now occupied the chair just below Eleanor.
Eleanor was extremely dissatisfied with her behavior, her face darkening further.
The Sinclairs had strict rules; a junior member would never dare to sit without permission.
But just moments ago, Stella had unapologetically thrown herself into the seat.
They waited in silence until Lawrence Sinclair returned.
Suppressing the fury of being rudely awakened, Eleanor glared at Stella. "Speak. What on earth is going on?"
Her tone dripped with absolute authority.
When she had demanded an explanation earlier, Stella insisted on waiting for Lawrence.
Seeing Stella seated right next to Eleanor, Lawrence frowned slightly.
His gaze shifted to Julian, and he was momentarily stunned by the brutal injuries on his brother's face.
But as the head of the Sinclair Group, Lawrence smoothed out his expression in an instant.
Stella picked up the glass of water beside her and took a sip. "Since everyone is here, I'll get straight to the point."
Her lazy posture carried a hint of arrogance.
There was no trace of her former submissiveness. The sheer shift in her demeanor made everyone in the room instinctively look at her twice.
But seeing the pride written all over her face, an ominous feeling crept into their hearts.
Stella cleared her throat and looked dead serious. "I don't want Julian anymore."
Everyone was utterly speechless.
"The five hundred million dollars I paid for him needs to be returned to me."
She didn't beat around the bush. Her tone was absolute and uncompromising.
In that instant, every Sinclair and the staff who had known the late Channing matriarch
swore they saw a reflection of her legendary dominance radiating from Stella.
