When he saw the marks on her neck, Lawrence's breath hitched. "You..."
His lungs tightened completely.
He recalled Danie mentioning that Stella got into a man's car yesterday, and through the tinted windows, she had vaguely seen her embracing him.
Coupled with what Julian had said.
So, she really was with another man.
Who was it?
To give her this level of unchecked arrogance in such a short time, the man backing her had to be extremely powerful.
But in this city, who could possibly eclipse the power of the Vance family?
Noticing Lawrence staring at her neck, Stella scoffed. "Seen enough?"
As she spoke, she boldly brushed a hand over the marks.
Her unapologetic arrogance made Lawrence's veins pop with rage. "Who is he?"
This damn woman. She had just divorced Julian and was already sleeping with another man.
It was one thing for her to be shameless, but the Sinclair family still cared about their reputation.
Stella laughed mockingly. "Julian can't control who he is, so who the hell do you think you are to tell me what to do?"
"Stella, are you really this cheap? You just divorced Julian and immediately jumped into another man's bed. You might not care about your dignity, but the Sinclair family does."
Smash.
The second Lawrence finished his sentence, Stella grabbed the heavy crystal ashtray off his desk and smashed it straight into his forehead.
Lawrence went totally blank.
His vision swam. The brutal impact made him feel like his brain had been physically rattled inside his skull.
Stella stood up, kicking her chair out of the way.
Seeing this, Asher instinctively took a step back.
Then he turned around, silently lighting a row of mental candles for Lawrence.
Smack, smack, smack. Three vicious slaps rang out in rapid succession.
Stella absolutely despised men with filthy mouths.
Especially decent-looking men who showed zero respect for women. It disgusted her.
Didn't know how to speak properly?
Then she would just have to rip his mouth off.
"Ugh—"
Lawrence absorbed the slaps, his ears ringing violently.
He simply couldn't believe Stella actually had the nerve to strike him.
She was a total psycho.
Who the hell was the man backing her up?
After delivering the slaps, Stella's palm stung. She shoved Lawrence away in disgust. "Have you learned how to speak like a human being yet?"
"Stella."
Lawrence erupted in fury.
He wasn't a soft target like Julian.
Faced with Stella's sheer brutality, he completely lost it.
