Watching Ivy's complexion turn completely ashen, Stella looked away.
She threw a dismissive glance at the pathetic man on the ground and scoffed. "Boring."
Julian was stunned.
What did she mean by that?
She had practically orchestrated his beating and now she was calling it boring?
Julian's rage skyrocketed. "Stella!"
"Shh..."
Stella, who had already turned to leave, glanced back over her shoulder and held a finger to her lips. "Don't forget, you're currently homeless."
"If Arthur finds out you're throwing a tantrum at the company doors, you probably won't even be allowed back into the building tonight. Where will you sleep then?"
Julian was rendered speechless.
She had just ruthlessly stripped away his dignity in front of an entire crowd.
The onlooking employees, knowing he had been exiled from the main family, stared at him with bizarre expressions.
Julian felt like his heart was going to explode.
He had never expected her to be this incredibly merciless.
Remembering how gentle and submissive she had been for the past three years, Julian felt a wave of disorientation wash over him.
She had treated him so well...
She had acted like she couldn't live without him!
She used to wait for him to come home every single day. How could she change so drastically overnight?
Stella walked away.
Danie materialized next to Julian. "Mr. Sinclair wants to see you upstairs."
Ivy, who had been about to rush to Julian's side, was instantly frozen in place by a single warning glare from Danie.
Danie despised Julian, and she despised the pathetic stand-in even more.
Given the massive crisis Stella had just inflicted on the company, Danie had fully realized the truth, making her disdain for Ivy skyrocket.
Until yesterday, she hadn't believed that all the company's problems stemmed from Stella.
But now, she believed it completely.
...
Just as Stella approached her car outside the building, she was intercepted.
It was Wilder's men.
Stan Isham stepped forward. "Mrs. Sinclair, my boss would like to see you. Please come with me."
Stella arched an eyebrow. "Who is your boss?"
Stan had been Wilder's right-hand man for years; wherever Wilder was, Stan wasn't far behind.
Almost everyone in the city recognized him.
Yet Stella was casually asking who his boss was?
Did she genuinely not know him, or was she deliberately disrespecting the Fitzgeralds?
Considering her rampant arrogance over the past two days, it was definitely the latter!
"Mrs. Sinclair..."
"Stan, you're supposed to be Wilder's top guy, right? Are you really that out of the loop?"
