The One I Should've Married (Stella and Sebastian) novel Chapter 165

The Sinclair family, just as Asher had said, was watching their sky collapse!

Lawrence received word of Julian's incident last night and rushed to the hospital with Vivienne.

They stayed until the early hours of the morning before leaving, and after that, his whereabouts were completely unknown.

Initially, no one suspected anything.

But with the Sinclair Group currently dealing with a massive mess, and Lawrence still not arriving at the office by noon or answering his phone.

Everyone finally realized something was terribly wrong.

In the hospital room, Vivienne cried anxiously, her tears falling fast. "Stella, it has to be Stella."

"That wretched bitch, what exactly is she trying to do!"

Everything happening right now was definitely Stella's doing. Her Julian hadn't even woken up yet.

And now Lawrence was missing!

Eleanor was also in the hospital room, her face livid as she sat in a chair.

Feeling agitated, she instinctively tried to fiddle with her emerald prayer beads.

But her hand found nothing...

Stella had confiscated those prayer beads the other day!

She felt even more irritated.

"Didn't she go back to the Vance estate last night? She's probably lying in some hospital right now. How could she possibly have the capability to touch Lawrence?"

Vivienne, who had been about to call Stella to interrogate her, froze at Eleanor's words.

"You're right, how could she possibly have the power to come after us?"

Whether it was Julian or Lawrence, she couldn't possibly be capable of it.

Lawrence had specifically told them when he came back last night.

He had sent a photo of her hugging a man to the Vances. Given that, would the Vances ever let her off the hook?

"She's probably lying in a hospital right now too, barely clinging to life," Vivienne said.

She put away the phone she had just pulled out to make a call.

The thought that Stella might only have half a life left brought an undeniable rush of vindictive pleasure to her heart.

But remembering that Lawrence was still missing made that pleasure vanish instantly.

"Then where on earth did Lawrence go?"

"He probably went out networking to find someone to help us," Eleanor huffed. "Stop being so jumpy!"

Vivienne had no words.

Was she the only one being jumpy?

Wasn't Arthur currently at the company, panicking as well?

But she didn't dare contradict Eleanor's words.

"Let's just wait," Eleanor said. "He might just come back tonight."

"I'm mainly worried about that person stateside."

The person who had originally promised to give the Sinclair Group twenty million dollars if they sent Stella abroad.

Now, Stella hadn't been sent abroad, and she had actually scammed that person out of 1.5 billion dollars!

Vivienne was terrified that the person would pin that debt squarely on Lawrence's head.

At the mention of that person, Eleanor's face darkened uncontrollably!

"She's still demanding five million dollars from the Sinclair Group?"

"Exactly!" Vivienne agreed. "How does she even have the nerve!"

She had already scammed 1.5 billion from that person, yet she was still extorting five million from the Sinclairs.

She was taking it way too far...!
