Asher thought to himself: Please don't give me such an impossible task!
Stella waved him off in frustration. "Just go."
The moment she thought about Sebastian, she wanted to tear the entire city apart.
Suddenly, the oatmeal didn't taste so good anymore.
She picked up her phone, typed in the number she had memorized by heart, and immediately hung up.
She did this over and over, just like when she had tried to book a flight last night.
The unbearable frustration she couldn't face only burned hotter in her chest.
Eventually, Stella gave up on breakfast entirely. She changed her clothes, gathered her men, and headed straight for Sinclair Manor.
She needed to let off some steam.
...
Meanwhile, at Sinclair Manor.
Eleanor was throwing a fit over breakfast. "Where is Stella? Did she not get up to cook?"
Just one bite of the food and she knew it wasn't made by Stella.
She was so used to Stella's cooking that the taste of this meal completely killed her appetite.
The maid saw Eleanor's rising anger and answered nervously, "We haven't seen her!"
"Go wake her up! Look at the time! What kind of behavior is this?"
Eleanor had no idea that Stella hadn't even come home last night.
Having grown so accustomed to Stella waiting on her hand and foot, Eleanor was already deeply annoyed that the girl hadn't shown up at her bedroom door first thing in the morning.
And now, breakfast wasn't even cooked by her.
What was this? After causing a scene yesterday, did she really think she could just toss away her title as Mrs. Sinclair?
If she left, where would she even go?
The Channing family certainly wouldn't take her in!
The maid nodded. "Right away."
She quickly turned to go find Stella.
But Vivienne, who had been sitting to the side with a dark expression, finally spoke up. "Mom, she never came home last night."
That wretched Stella.
Julian had actually lowered himself to call her, and she still didn't come back!
And the things she had dared to say over the phone...
Just thinking about it made Vivienne's blood boil.
Eleanor's brows furrowed deeply. "What? She didn't come back? The wife of Julian Sinclair stayed out all night?"
"It seems she's forgotten all the rules of this house!"
The more Eleanor spoke, the angrier she got. "And what is Julian doing? He still hasn't coaxed her back after a whole night?"
