The One I Should've Married (Stella and Sebastian) novel Chapter 34

"If you truly lose the Sinclair family, you will lose your only protection!"

"Your stepmother would love nothing more than to see you dead!"

Thinking about the massive wealth the Channing elders had originally intended for Stella, Eleanor swallowed the bitter humiliation Stella had just dealt her.

Just wait...

Wait until everything she owned was officially locked into the Sinclair accounts, then they would deal with her.

Listening to this laughable warning, Stella couldn't help but smile.

The mockery in her eyes deepened. "Why don't you just say it straight? Without the Sinclairs, I'll end up dead in a ditch."

Ha. Backing! That was hilarious.

They were actually trying to thinly veil a threat against her!

It seemed they hadn't taken her warnings to heart at all.

The amusement in Stella's eyes instantly turned to ice. "Asher!"

"Ms. Channing."

Asher stepped forward respectfully.

Only then did Vivienne and Eleanor realize that Asher had been standing quietly behind Stella the entire time.

She actually brought him here?

This man used to be the sharpest blade under her grandfather's command!

Stella didn't blink as she coldly dropped two words: "Clear it."

"I'd love to see who exactly is going to kill me once I'm done with this pathetic, washed-up family!"

The innate, predatory dominance in her eyes completely crushed Eleanor's supposed matriarchal authority.

Eleanor and Vivienne were left speechless.

Asher nodded. "Understood!"

Following her command, he spoke into his earpiece. "Bring everyone in."

The bodyguards waiting outside flooded through the doors.

The spacious living room was instantly packed with dozens of intimidating men in black suits.

Vivienne and Eleanor's faces drained of blood. Vivienne shrieked, "Stella Channing, what are you doing?"

Stella met her furious gaze with sheer disdain.

"What does it look like? Are you blind?"

Vivienne choked on her words.

The men moved with brutal efficiency, scattering upstairs and downstairs. The loud slamming of doors echoed repeatedly through the house.

Suddenly, Eleanor felt a harsh tug on her wrist. Her precious emerald prayer beads were snatched away.
