The shockwaves from the city quickly spread overseas.
Even Regina, located halfway across the world, had received the news. Just as Stella hung up with Holly, Regina called.
Regina's voice was filled with laughter. "Stella, were you possessed by a demon for the last three years?"
Just like Holly, once Regina heard about Stella's scorched-earth campaign against the Sinclairs, she immediately assumed her daughter had been cursed for the last three years.
Why else would she have acted so pathetically in the Sinclair household?
Falling in love with Julian was absurd enough, but acting like a literal servant for them was utterly insane!
Everyone knew exactly what kind of personality she had.
It was as if she had been replaced by a completely different person...
Over those three years.
Watching the unrecognizable version of Stella suffering at the Sinclairs, Regina had repeatedly doubted if this girl was even her daughter.
But she had hired investigators, ran DNA tests, and confirmed it was undeniably her.
She had tried to send people to bring Stella overseas, but Stella had flat-out refused, insisting on staying to act as a workhorse for those losers.
Regina had been so stressed she lost thirty pounds!!
Stella answered, "Yes, I was."
Regina paused. "Are you serious?"
"Yes."
Except no one would ever believe the truth of it. Even she found it too bizarre to comprehend.
Regina was speechless. "..."
Actually possessed?
Before Regina could elaborate, Stella interrupted. "How is Bash?"
Speaking of Sebastian.
Things were even more bizarre on his end...
Regina scoffed. "You actually have the nerve to ask about him? You destroyed him, how do you think he is?"
After the sheer humiliation she subjected him to three years ago, it would be a miracle if he was fine.
Stella fell silent.
Her breathing grew heavy.
Was he really not doing well...?
Of course he wasn't. Holly had mentioned he went through several different psychiatrists.
Recalling the deeply wounded, repressed look in Sebastian's eyes right before he left, the coldness around Stella's lips deepened.
Seeing that Stella had gone quiet, Regina sighed.
"He hasn't been overseas these past few days."
"Then where is he?"
"He went back to Thailand. Since two years ago, he's been constantly flying to Thailand. You broke him so badly he turned to religion."
Wasn't this getting more absurd by the minute?
To Regina, the situations with Sebastian and Stella were equally unhinged.
One had been an untouchable, arrogant queen who suddenly turned into a pathetic romantic.
The other was a dangerous, uncontrollable predator who suddenly started praying to the gods!
Stella repeated softly, "Religion?"
Regina confirmed. "Yes. He is deeply devoted to the gods in Thailand."
Not just devoted, but fanatically so.
Stella was speechless. "..."
Regina sighed again. "You took a perfectly fine man and ruined him. Do you not feel a single ounce of guilt?"
When it came to Sebastian.
Regina was genuinely furious with her daughter.
She had watched Sebastian struggle for three years, and it broke her heart. Even though Sebastian treated her coldly because of her association with Stella.
