The two bodyguards stepped forward immediately.
They flanked Julian, hoisting him up by his arms, and began dragging him toward the elevators.
Julian finally snapped out of his shock and started thrashing. "Let go! Get your hands off me!"
Damn it, what were they doing?
Inviting him for a divorce? Was this how an invitation was supposed to look?
The situation escalated so quickly that Ivy just stood frozen at the door, completely terrified. It wasn't until Julian started shouting that she came back to her senses.
"You can't..."
She tried to speak up to stop them, but the image of Stella's ferocious, bloodthirsty expression flashed through her mind.
Wait... they were taking Julian to get divorced?
Divorce...
Divorce was good!
Once they were divorced, she would officially become the next Mrs. Sinclair. The Sloanes' rejection wouldn't matter at all then.
At that thought, Ivy considered just turning around and letting it happen.
But then Julian screamed at her, "Ivy! Call my mother! Right now!"
Even though Julian wanted nothing more than to divorce Stella immediately.
The Sinclair family still needed things from her, and it was much easier to seize them while she was still technically a Sinclair wife!
Ivy hesitated.
Hearing Julian demand she call Vivienne—especially with him referring to her as 'my mother'—made a knot of disgust twist in her stomach.
For some reason, the phrase 'mama's boy' echoed loudly in her mind!
Julian was shoved into the elevator, then dragged out and forced into a waiting car.
The entire ordeal took less than ten minutes!
As the engine roared to life, Julian bellowed, "You people are crossing the line!"
He was still a Sinclair heir.
Being hauled around like a sack of potatoes—what kind of indignity was this?
What frustrated him most was that in the hands of these men, he didn't have an ounce of strength to fight back!!
That damn Stella. Did she know how to do anything other than resort to barbaric violence?
Asher dialed Stella's number. "Ms. Channing."
"Yes, ma'am. We've secured him."
Hearing Asher calmly confirm that he had 'secured' him over the phone nearly made Julian pass out from sheer fury.
Was this securing someone?
They were blatantly kidnapping him! He was going to call the cops and throw that lunatic in prison!
He couldn't hear what Stella said on the other end.
He only heard Asher reply, "Understood. We'll bring him to you first."
The City Registry wasn't open yet anyway; their primary objective had simply been to snatch Julian.
