Stella answered the call. "Is Mr. Channing ready to negotiate ahead of schedule?"
"We need to talk!" Vincent Channing's voice growled through the speaker, tight with fury.
"It sounds like you're still not quite ready. Take your time and prepare yourself properly, alright?"
With that, she hung up immediately.
He wanted to talk? Not a chance.
They had three entire years with plenty of opportunities to talk things out nicely, but they had refused every single one.
Now, the window for talking was firmly shut.
"You're really burning bridges everywhere, aren't you?" Holly noted.
She kidnapped Xander Channing!
And now she was ordering Julian abducted just to force a divorce!
"The divorce is highly time-sensitive," Stella replied.
As for her family's company, she held Xander hostage. Vincent wouldn't be able to hold out for long.
Holly nodded in agreement. "It definitely is."
She was anxious, too!
She was terrified that if Stella let her guard down for even a second, she might snap back into that subservient ghost she had been for the last three years.
Ending things with that useless Julian as soon as possible was the only way to find peace of mind.
But then Holly frowned. "How did Asher get the intel on the Sinclairs so fast?"
Stella paused.
How indeed?
A slow smile spread across her face. "That's exactly why I told you not to underestimate him."
"...Right, obviously. He must have moles planted inside the Sinclair estate!"
Holly almost felt bad for Asher. Watching his wolf of a boss act like a beaten dog in the Sinclair house for years must have driven him insane.
Now that she was finally baring her fangs, he was probably itching for her to give the kill order against those parasites!!
...
Julian ultimately took Ivy to a hotel.
He didn't have much of a choice. Over the years, he hadn't planned for the future at all.
