The One I Should've Married (Stella and Sebastian) novel Chapter 59

Ignoring the crowd's stares, she delivered another vicious kick right into Julian's stomach.

"Say it. Are we divorcing or not?!"

Julian groaned. "Ugh—, you psycho!"

His face went completely pale from the agonizing pain!

Stella sneered. "Not divorcing? Are you just terrified you won't have any money to take care of your mistress?"

"You stole my jewelry to give to Ivy Sloane, and even had her living in a house under my name."

Julian gritted his teeth. "Shut up! What right do you have to talk about her..."

Hearing her broadcast Ivy's name in public drove Julian insane!

The crowd gasped.

The sympathetic looks they had given Julian seconds ago suddenly turned strange.

Stella slapped Julian across the face again, making his head ring violently.

His vision blurred and darkened at the edges...

"I funded your entire family. After pulling stunts like that, what right do you have to refuse a divorce?"

The crowd fell dead silent.

Any sympathy they had was entirely gone!

In the crowd, a pair of sharp eyes watched the scene unfold, quietly stepping away to make a phone call.

...

Overseas.

Kellen Knight answered his phone. "Speak."

"Julian is still refusing to sign the papers. Ms. Channing has lost it. She's practically beating him to death."

Kellen fell silent.

Upon hearing this, he instinctively glanced at Sebastian standing nearby.

The call volume was loud enough for Sebastian to hear every word.

As the man raised his eyes, a lethal chill flashed in his gaze...!

Kellen whispered, "Boss?"

Julian was actually refusing to divorce!

Did he have a death wish...?

Was he completely oblivious to Stella's current temper, or was he intentionally trying to force her to kill him?

Sebastian picked up his coffee, his voice dropping to a freezing temperature. "Don't let her dirty her hands."

"Understood."

Kellen nodded.

He spoke into the phone. "If necessary, you know what to do, right?"

"Yes."

The call disconnected.

Kellen looked at Sebastian. "I didn't expect Julian to have that kind of nerve!"

After everything that had happened since yesterday, he was still refusing to divorce!

Did he really not realize that if he pushed Stella too far, she would actually kill him?

Sebastian scoffed. "He's got nerve, but aside from that, he's completely useless!"

Kellen didn't know what to say.

Well, that was true!

Julian, and the entire Sinclair family for that matter, were nothing but useless.

...

Back at the City Registry.

The tide of public opinion had drastically shifted...

Instead of pointing fingers at Stella, the crowd was now directing all their scorn at Julian.

Bystander A muttered, "I can't believe a guy could be so shameless. Her money feeds his whole family, and he still goes out and gets a mistress!"

Bystander B agreed, "Right? And now he's throwing a fit about not wanting a divorce! He's just terrified of losing his cash cow."

Bystander C sneered, "It's obviously about the money. How else is he going to pay for his side piece?"
