Eleanor's reluctant 'divorce' command made Julian instantly sigh in relief.
Since his grandmother had personally given the order, he wouldn't be kicked out of the Sinclair family after the divorce, right?
Stella smirked. "Your grandmother has spoken. Any more stunts to pull?"
"You psycho..."
Julian gritted his teeth.
Did she really think divorcing him was the end? This was just the beginning of her suffering!
Who else would want her once she was divorced?
Stella let out a scoff, hauling Julian up by the collar and dragging him inside.
Watching Stella handle Julian like a ragdoll made Vivienne and Eleanor nearly pass out from the sheer humiliation!
The look Vivienne gave Stella was brimming with murderous intent!
So she didn't want to be a Sinclair anymore, huh?
Then she could go straight to hell and reunite with her dead grandparents.
...
When the clerk saw the two of them walk up in such a state, their eyes darted between Stella and Julian several times. "What is... this?"
Stella slammed the paperwork onto the counter. "Divorce!"
The clerk hesitated. "Is this consensual?"
Stella nodded. "Consensual!"
The clerk looked at Julian, who grunted, "Consensual!"
Why did they only ask if marriages were consensual? Did they really need to ask that for divorces too?
Besides, did he look like he was doing this willingly?
"Regarding the division of assets..."
"There is nothing to divide. Just process the divorce!"
Stella interrupted impatiently.
Even if there were assets to divide, she'd rather take them back by force later than waste another second in this building.
She couldn't stand this marriage for a moment longer...
The clerk handed the documents back. "We don't need these!"
Just their IDs and the signed papers would suffice.
Eleanor and Vivienne had followed them inside and were watching from a distance. Vivienne whispered, "Mom, are we really just going to let..."
Before Vivienne could finish her sentence, Eleanor silenced her with a lethal glare.
Eleanor was too furious to speak.
And just like that...
Stella and Julian's marriage was officially over, barely two days after she had regained her senses!!
Stepping out of the City Registry.
Eleanor looked at Stella, putting on one last show for the lingering crowd. "Stella, if you ever feel wronged by the Channings, the doors to the Sinclair family are always open to you."
Even though the crowd had mostly dispersed, she still had to maintain appearances!
Stella raised an eyebrow.
She glanced at the few remaining onlookers out of the corner of her eye, a sweet smile curling her lips. "You put on quite the act in public, you old hag!"
"You..."
Having her mask ripped off so effortlessly made Eleanor's face turn a sickly shade of green.
This was Stella!
She would never be moved by fake pleasantries.
Seeing Eleanor and Vivienne choke on their anger, Stella scoffed. "Julian and I are finished, but as for the Sinclair family..."
She paused, her smile turning impossibly sharp.
Stepping closer to Eleanor, she whispered, "As for the Sinclair family, this is just the beginning!"
The five hundred million dollars!
