Julian was kicked so hard he collapsed onto the pavement.
Stella glared down. "You still have the nerve to provoke me? You're feeling pretty brave today, huh?"
Over the past two days, Julian had taken the worst beatings by far. Logically, he should be running in the opposite direction the moment he saw her.
Julian clutched his stomach, kneeling on the ground. "You woman, you're an absolute...!"
"Woman? Hah!"
Hearing the word 'woman,' Stella laughed. "Did you forget? Back in school, they used to call me..."
Call her what?
Stella paused, her gaze locked onto Julian's bruised and battered face as she slowly uttered the words, "The Succubus."
Julian froze.
Hearing that name, his face contorted in sheer terror!
Yes, The Succubus. Everyone at school had called her a demon, claiming she was a monster raised by the Channing grandparents.
Behind closed doors, she was trained by her elders!
And out in the real world, she was coddled and spoiled by Sebastian Vance...
She wasn't just crazy; she was purely evil!
Stella sneered. "When you were stealing from a Succubus like me to give to Ivy, what exactly was going through that thick skull of yours, huh?"
Julian couldn't speak.
A wave of suffocating regret washed over him.
He deeply regretted stealing Stella's jewelry for Ivy. His brain must have been malfunctioning.
This Succubus was rotten to her very core!
How could he let three years of submissive behavior completely erase the memory of how vicious she had been growing up?
And now, after being suppressed in the Sinclair house for three years, she was exploding!
And she was going to settle every last debt?
The thought made Julian's face drain of color.
But thinking of Ivy's desperate situation, he couldn't stop himself from grinding his teeth. "If the Sloane family abandons her now, Ivy is going to die! Stella, no matter how evil you are, you shouldn't play with someone's life!"
Ivy's health was already failing.
At a critical time like this, not only had she been kicked out of her family, but because of Stella's rampage, the Sloanes had frozen all of Ivy's bank accounts.
Now, she didn't just lack the money for a kidney transplant—she didn't even have enough for her basic dialysis...
Stella was essentially signing Ivy's death warrant!
