The One I Should've Married (Stella and Sebastian) novel Chapter 79

Before Vincent could say another word, Stella ended the call, her mind echoing with that singular word he had dared to use: 'mother.'

Standing in the serene, incense-filled temple, her eyes were burning with pure, unadulterated murderous intent.

Buzz, buzz, buzz. The phone vibrated again.

This time, it was Holly Huntington.

Stella answered, "Holly."

"Where are you? Are you okay?"

Holly's voice rushed through the speaker, panicked and frantic.

Stella raised an eyebrow in confusion. "I'm perfectly fine. Why are you sounding like that?!"

Was she fine?

Honestly, after hearing Vincent call Beatrice her mother, she wasn't fine at all. She was fully ready to kill someone.

But there was no reason for Holly to be this frantic, right?

Holly gasped, "Why am I sounding like this? Wait, don't tell me you don't know?"

"Know what?"

"Your beach villa is on fire! It's a massive blaze! I was terrified you were trapped inside. You nearly scared me to death!"

Stella paused.

Her villa was on fire?

In an instant, her eyes narrowed sharply. "When did this happen?"

"Wait, you really didn't know?! Where the hell are you?"

"T Country."

Holly was struck speechless for a moment.

T Country? With Sebastian...? Oh my god! "Are you there for...?"

"Bash is here."

No way. She knew the Boss was in T Country.

But the fact that Stella actually went looking for him? Holly audibly gulped through the phone.

"Girl, you have guts. You actually went to him voluntarily?"

Did she completely forget what she did three years ago?

Before Stella could answer, Holly pushed on, "So, did you see him?"

"I saw him."

"Did he beat you?"

Just asking the question made Holly's heart clench in fear.

Everyone knew the kind of absolute hell Sebastian went through after that brutal, sudden breakup three years ago.

With all that resentment, wouldn't he just tear Stella apart?
