Inside the house, Mrs. Chen and Mrs. Liu had not yet arrived, and Vivienne was frantically ordering the servants around.
"That wretched Stella! I clearly told her before she left that Mrs. Chen and Mrs. Liu would be here by three. It's already past that, and she's still not back! If they arrive and see how disobedient she is, I'll become a laughingstock!"
"I am absolutely furious. Just wait until she gets back. I won't let her get away with this!"
Vivienne had always been extremely obsessive about saving face in front of the other high-society ladies.
She had given Stella clear instructions before she left, assuming she would prepare everything after a quick nap.
Yet, Stella was absolutely nowhere to be found.
If she had known this would happen, she never would have allowed her to leave the house!
Seething with rage and needing someone to lash out at, Vivienne spun around, only to witness Stella dragging Julian inside.
The usually tall and handsome Julian looked like a lifeless stray dog being hauled by the collar...
Vivienne's expression froze in pure shock. "You...?"
Her brain simply couldn't process the bizarre scene unfolding in front of her.
Before she could even finish her sentence, Stella forcefully hurled Julian right at her feet.
Already battered and heavily concussed from the brutal ride, Julian slammed heavily onto the floor right in front of Vivienne!
A terrifyingly heavy silence fell over the room.
Vivienne stared blankly at her bruised, battered son.
Then she looked up at Stella, her expression morphing from shock into absolute, unhinged fury!
She trembled with pure rage. "Stella! What the hell are you doing?"
She practically hissed the name through her teeth before screaming hysterically.
Vivienne had two sons.
The eldest, Lawrence, never required her to worry. Her youngest, however, was the golden boy she had spoiled his entire life.
Julian had never been subjected to such violence, and now Stella... "How dare you!"
Vivienne shrieked like a banshee.
Stella simply offered a chilling smile.
Meeting Vivienne's furious glare, she stepped forward...
Before Vivienne could react, Stella stomped her foot firmly down onto Julian's back just as he tried to push himself up!
Julian, who had barely lifted himself off the floor, was instantly pinned back down.
A choked groan escaped his lips as he genuinely feared his spine was going to snap under her heel.
Vivienne's heart dropped, her entire face twitching as she stared at Stella.
Stella raised an eyebrow mockingly. "What was it you told me to come back for over the phone again?!"
Vivienne was rendered entirely speechless.
"Oh, right. You ordered me back to bake desserts for those pathetic wives, didn't you?"
Her tone was deceptively soft, yet it carried an overwhelmingly terrifying menace.
