The One I Should've Married (Stella and Sebastian) novel Chapter 85

Stella and Sebastian didn't arrive in the city until midnight.

Since the bay villa was burned down and she hadn't prepared anywhere else, she went straight to his place at Nova Heights.

She glanced at her phone, which was still in do-not-disturb mode.

Vincent was still desperately trying to call her, but the screen showed no notifications.

Sebastian stepped out of the shower and glanced at her phone. "Those people still have energy left?"

"Plenty!" Stella smiled.

Right now, they were probably putting every ounce of their effort into hunting her down. Today, the bay villa had gone up in flames.

And that was perfectly fine.

It just gave her the perfect excuse to forcefully reclaim the Channing Estate!!

When her grandparents were alive, Beatrice and her illegitimate children weren't even allowed to step foot in the main estate.

Yet for the past three years, she had paraded around acting like the lady of the house.

She dared burn her house down?

Then she was going to personally throw Beatrice and her bastards out onto the street!!

Stella finished her shower. Her hair smelled sweet as she wrapped her arms around the man's arm. "Hold me."

When she arrived in T Country yesterday, she had maintained a cold, distant attitude toward him because he had let her marry the disgusting Julian three years ago without stopping her.

It wasn't until after their visit to the temple today that she finally softened.

The man looked down, his normally gentle eyes carrying a cold, serious edge.

But Stella wasn't afraid of him. "Why are you looking at me like that? I never treated that coward Julian like this over the last three years."

Terrified he might not believe her, she blurted out, "Do you want to thoroughly inspect me and check?"

The moment the words left her mouth, she completely froze!

This was exactly why she couldn't afford to relax around him. The second she dropped her grudge from three years ago, her mouth lost its filter entirely.

Stupid mouth!

Her brain had been dragged down so hard by that pathetic, useless ghost over the past three years that she didn't even know what she was saying anymore!

Sure enough, cowardice and stupidity were highly contagious.

Seeing the dark, surging flames igniting in the man's eyes, Stella sensed the immediate danger and quickly let go of his arm. "Uh, I... I'm going back to sleep. I'm so tired."

She spun around, ready to bolt.

But before she could take a single step, his broad, powerful hand caught her by her slender waist.
