She had just seen the news report about the massive fire at the bay.
When she realized it was Stella's villa, she had secretly hoped the girl had burned alive inside.
She was just starting to feel a rush of vindictive joy.
Then Asher dumped Valerie at her feet!
Valerie groaned, "Get me to the hospital first."
"Right, right, hospital first. I'll take you right now."
Beatrice was completely frantic.
While scrambling to get Valerie to the hospital, she repeatedly called Vincent, but he wasn't answering.
Unable to contain her boiling rage, she dialed Stella's number. She felt like she was going to explode.
...
Over on the plane.
There were only ten minutes left until takeoff.
Stella was dead to the world, sleeping soundly. When Sebastian saw Beatrice calling, he handed the phone directly to Kellen to handle.
Kellen took it and stepped aside.
The moment he answered, Beatrice's hysterical screaming exploded through the speaker. "Stella Channing, you've gone way too far! Kidnapping Xander was bad enough, but now you've done this to Valerie?! Why don't you just kill us and get it over with!"
She practically shrieked the last sentence.
She was completely losing her mind...
If Xander wasn't in her hands, she absolutely would have hired someone to end her life!
That damn little bitch.
Where did she get the nerve to be this arrogant? Did she think her billionaire mother or some powerful brother had her back?
The old patriarch was dead, and she had nothing left. Did she really have a death wish?
The second she found Xander, she was going to have her killed!
Listening to Beatrice's unhinged fury, Kellen let out a light chuckle. "You're joking, Ms. Channing. She won't take your lives, because..."
He deliberately paused.
A sinister, mocking edge crept into his laugh. "Because she's a very kind person."
Stella had just said she wanted to be kind.
Now Kellen was throwing that exact word right back in Beatrice's face.
