The Pack's Luna: The Pack Series Book 4 novel Chapter 369

Dallas

I wake again with Philip sleeping in my arms, sitting uncomfortably beside my mate whom they will try to wake again today. This time, because it’s planned, l’ll be here with Philip. He and I have bonded over the past few days. It’s obvious that his piece of shit father didn’t act Like a father to him any more than he acted like a mate to Nicolette. He has soaked up every bit of attention I’ve given him.

As uncomfortable as my mind and body are in the twisted positions I’ve had to sleep in and the concern I have for Nicolette finding out that I’m her mate, Kirnon is strangely calm and quiet. He’s happy having her near, her scent in our nose, and her pup in our arms. He, like me, accepts her pup as ours. She’s ours, so therefore, he’s ours too.

Before everyone arrives, I wake Philip, wanting to get him some breakfast so he can spend time with his mom when she wakes up. I think they’ll both need that.

“Is mommy awake?” he asks, the moment I wake him up.

“No, not yet. I wanted to get you some breakfast first so you can spend time with her once she’s awake.”

He looks at my mate. “What if she doesn’t wake up?”

It’s a question he’s been asking more and more frequentlyand it’s the reason I’m pushing so hard for Luna Kennedy and Luna Yara to wake her. Philip needs his mother. He needs to know that she isn’t going to die.

“She’s going to wake up, Philip. You’ll see,” I tell him.

I take him to the bathroom before walking him to the packhouse. When we get there, he immediately runs over to see Quilla and Quinlee, who have quickly become his friends. I’m a bit worried about them leaving today with their parents, but if he really misses them, l’ll take him to visit them in Alpha Quirin’s pack.

“Good morning, Philip,” Luna Kennedy says, walking over and crouching in front of him. “Are you ready for your mother to wake up today?” she asks him.

“Yes, Luna,” he says, turning to look at me.

“He’s worried she won’t wake up,” I tell her.

“Well, you were asleep last night when I brought my mother over to see her. Come with me, ‘ll introduce you.

She’s an even better doctor than I am, and she says your motheris going to be fine. When I leave today, she’ll take over your mother’s care,” she says, standing and taking Philip’s hand to lead him over to Luna Yara.

I’m about to follow them, when I hear my name called. I recognize her voice instantly and I turn to see my mother walking into the packhouse. copied from j-ob-nib-com “Mom!” I close the distance between us in three quickstrides, pulling her into my arms. “Thank you for coming back.”

“Of course, honey. But you know I’m not needed with Yara and Kennedy here,” she says.

“But she’s my mate, Mom.”

“I know. Which is why I’m here. Where is this young man who is to be your son?” she asks.

I turn and point to where Kennedy is introducing him to Yara. “That’s Philip.”

“Who is the young man sitting with Alpha Henry?”

“I believe that’s Alpha Gavin, Luna Piper’s youngest brother,” I tell her: “I haven’t officially met him yet.”

She raises her eyebrow as my father shakes my hand. “We haven’t been gone that long, but it seems like we’ve missed quite a bit,” he says.
