The Pack's Luna: The Pack Series Book 4 novel Chapter 377

Piper

When Henry picked me up at the Academy on Friday, Alpha Naveah caught us before we left.

“Your father’s pre-trial for trying to sell you and Vivienne into mate bonds has been scheduled for next Thursday, Luna Piper,” she said, handing me the summons.

“What about Grady?” I ask.

“I believe that his pre-trial is going to be scheduled the following week.”

“What happens at a pre-trial?” Henry asks.

“Her father will submit his plea, which I would assume will be not guilty. I would recommend that both you and your sister attend the pre-trial. Your father will most likely ask to get released pending trial. It is not uncommon for the court to ask for your opinion or your sister’s since you are the injured parties in this case. The tech team will be there to present their concerns, if asked. You can also expect that your brother Gage will be there, so consider that before inviting your brother Gavin. They’ll also schedule the next court date at that time.”

When we left the Academy, I was distracted with thoughts of whether. or not I should tell Gavin about the court date.

I was pretty sure he would want to go, but I wasn’t sure he could face the wrath of my father, or my brother, who Iwas sure would be there.

“You’re awfully quiet,” Henry says, pulling my hand to his lips.

“Thinking about whether I should bring Gavin to the court date on Thursday.”

I’ll be there, too. We can make sure he’s okay. I think it’s important for him to see that there isn’t a chance of reconciling with your father or Gage,” he says.

“He’s just been through so much already,” I say, looking at the unfamiliar landscape around me. “Where are we going? This isn’t the way home.”

Henry begins purring. “I love that you call our pack home.

But you’re right. We’re going to Yorick and Cyra’s pack. It’s time for us to finally sign that damn alliance agreement and I got the plans for their state-of-the-art training facility. I wanted to present it to them with you there.

That way, if there are any changes, the three of you can discuss them and I can tell the contractor what needs to change.”

“Ohhh! You didn’t mention that!” I say excitedly.

“You’ve had a lot going on, and I wanted it to be a surprise.”

“I can’t wait to see it. Do they know we’re coming? Neither of them said anything to me about it.”

“No, they don’t. We’re just dropping in,” he says, grinning.”Hopefully, they won’t mind,” I say, knowing they have lot to do on the weekends, especially now that they are planning a huge graduation party.

Henry smiles at me. “They won’t mind, Piper. That’s the kind of alliance we have. Drop-in visits are always fine. We won’t cause them problems and they’ll just be getting home themselves, so other than greeting their pack members after being gone all week, they won’t be doing anything too in-depth. Hopefully, they’ll invite us to stay for dinner and we can discuss everything then.”

When we arrive, we stop at the guard gate. “Alpha Henry and Luna Piper to see Alphas Yorick and Cyra,” he says.

“So, you’re Alpha Henry. We’ve heard about you. And Alpha Piper, it’s nice to see you again,” he says to me.

“It’s Luna Piper now, and it’s good to see you again too,

Tate,” I say.

He grins, obviously happy that I remembered his name.

His eyes go unfocused and then he lets us know that Yorick will be waiting for us at the packhouse.

“Do you remember how to get there, Luna?” Tate asks.

“I sure do.”

When we pull up to the packhouse, Yorick jogs down the steps to greet us.

“Is everything alright? We weren’t expecting you,” he says, obviously worried.”I knew we should have called,” I say, getting out.

“Pipes! Are you okay? Is everything okay with Gavin?” Cyra asks, coming out of the packhouse with Cyrus in her arms.

“Yes, it’s fine. Henry said we didn’t need an invitation or to announce our intent to come see you,” I say, glaring at my mate.

“Am I wrong?” Henry asks Yorick.

“Of course not. You’re family, both of you. I’m just surprised, that’s all. We’ve only been trying to get you over here for months,” Yorick says, grinning and taking his son from Cyra.

“What are you doing here then?” Cyra asks. “Not that it matters, you’re always welcome. We’re just surprised.”

Henry holds up the alliance agreement. “We’ve finally come to make our alliance officially binding,” he says.

“Finally!” Yorick says, grinning.

“Well, that’s not the only reason, right?” I ask, practically desperate to see the plans that Henry has for the training facility.
