Daniel’s POV-

“Where the fuck do you think you are going?” Devil’s voice boomed, as Phoenix stepped into the common area, clearly trying to get away from him.

“Away from you. I can’t believe you fucking cheated on me,” Phoenix yelled, her voice cracking as she said it. It was like she was trying to yell, but just felt too defeated to yell.

Devil grabbed her arm and ripped her towards him, as he growled, “You fucking cheated first. Or, do you care to explain where the fuck you keep disappearing too?”

“I never fucking cheated. It doesn’t matter now where I was because you don’t trust me and choose to believe a club whore over me, the one you claim to love, and then rather than coming to me to find out the truth, you fuck the same club whore. Devil, we’re finished,” Phoenix’s voice was quiet, defeated, as she

spoke.

Devil’s face became more enraged, but there was still something in his eyes that said he regretted what he had done. Phoenix broke free and rushed off to her room. Olivia moved first, she went straight for Devil. She was so quick, he didn’t even see her coming. She threw one of her devastating right hooks into his face. Devil stumbled backwards, blood pouring down his face. Oh, shit she broke his nose. He growled and moved to get in her face. That was the moment I got up, hurried over to them, shoving him back a few steps. He was pissed. When I glanced at Olivia, I saw just how seething with rage she actually was. It was the first time I had seen her this angry, and it was hot as fuck.

“You are fucking idiot, Devil. Phoenix was with Katie and me. How the fuck was she meant to cheat on you? You just lost yourself a good woman there. Why because you choose to trust a fucking whore over the woman you are dating,” Olivia spat, her voice laced with venom.

She was chewing him out, and I had never seen her chew anyone out before. I found it that hot, that all my blood was rushing to my d**k. Not the best time to be getting hard over your woman.

Phoenix came out of her room with a bag slung over her shoulder. Oh shit. She said something to Prez, handing her cut over, before heading for the exit. Katie grabbed Olivia, and they rushed after Phoenix. I shook my head, and said, “Devil, you love her, don’t you? You said you were going to make her your old

lady.”

I noticed Blue and Turtle were coming into the common room. They immediately noticed the tension in the air, and quietly asked another Knight what was going on. “I am not having a cheating bitch as my old lady,” Devil snarled.

Turtle approached us, before I could say anything back to Devil. “She never cheated on you. For the last few weeks, every time she disappeared, and you didn’t know where she was, she was at the tattoo shop, getting a full back tattoo done. She wanted it done to surprise you, Devil. She confided in me that she was going to give herself to you when she first shows it to you. I finished that tattoo on her back today,” Turtle

Devil’s eyes went wide, and he stumbled backwards. Realization and pain spreading across his face. Mike was shaking his head, muttering, “You’re a fucking idiot.”

I was shaking my head as well, but it did explain to me why Olivia had jumped up so quickly to defend Phoenix. She was getting a tattoo done herself, she would have seen Phoenix’s tattoo. Devil whispered, “I

have to go after her.”

“Yeah, you fucking need to before she leaves. You know she just handed me her cut. She is leaving for real. I doubt she will ever come back,” Prez growled.

He saw Phoenix as a second daughter. She was also the first ever female Phoenix Knight. She was an important change for the club. She earned the right to be a Knight, probably more than any Knight here. Devil made a beeline for the door, but Katie walked crying her eyes out. He froze. Katie slapped him across the face, before bolting off to her room. Olivia walked in with tears in her eyes, but the smoldering rage that lay beneath the surface was just waiting to explode out. “You are too late. She has gone.”

Devil ran past her, to try and catch up with Phoenix. God, I hope she will be alright. I actually saw Phoenix as a little sister. Devil was likely going to end up being a broken man and do some stupid shit. Prez was already pulling Emily off to his office. He had already got rid of Darla because of how she spoke to Olivia, but now he will likely give her a very heavy warning and tell her to stay away from Devil. Personally, I hope he gets rid of her. I have a feeling Olivia will not be very nice to Emily after this.

Olivia walked over to me, and I held my arms open to her. She stepped into my embrace. I knew she needed me right now. She needed the comfort I could give her, the safety I gave her. I pressed a kiss on her hair, as she rested her head on my chest. I wrapped my arms around her and rubbed her back. “Are you okay?” I asked, keeping my voice low.

“Yeah, pissed at him though. My hand hurts like a son of bitch,” she said, pulling back to finally look at her

hand.

I gently took it into mine, and examined her hand. She already had a bruise appearing on her knuckles. I pressed a gentle kiss to the bruise, before whispering, “Let’s get some ice for that hand, and then you are going to sit on my lap, and stay there, so you don’t go breaking any more noses tonight.”

“Aw, I am sure I can find another reason to break someone’s nose,” she smirked, sarcastically.

“My fiery queen, I am sure you could,” I chuckled, pulling her to the kitchen to get her some ice for her

hand.

The moment I got some ice on her knuckles, I noticed Gold had come into the kitchen. Gold reached up and stroked Olivia’s cheek. “Are you alright, Princess?”

Olivia nodded, “Mostly angry at Devil. But Phoenix was adamant about leaving. She is going to keep in touch with Katie and me, but she doesn’t know if she will ever come back unless we really need her. My

hand hurts too.”

1 am not surprised that it hurts. Not many have ever been able to break Devil’s nose. As for Phoenix, Prez has said she still has a place here if she ever wants to return home. This is always going to be her home, even if she just needs time away from here and Devil. If she really keeps in touch with you, then make sure you remind her of that,” Gold said to her.

“I will,” Olivia nodded.

“Come on, my queen. Let’s have a drink and a rest before dinner.” I grabbed her a drink, before I tugged her along to the common room.

The moment we got back to the common room, some of the knights came over and commented about mean right hook. Olivia really impressed them all with her punches, because she, so far, has had little training and, in both cases, where she has landed punches to the face, she has broken noses. She will be one hell of a fighter. Not that I want her to fight all the time. She is mine to protect.
