Chapter 50

Olivia’s POV

Phoenix and I were just starting to become really good friends, and now this happens. Devil is the biggest idiot right now. How the fuck did he not see through the lies of a club whore? Everyone knows they always try to come between Knights and those they are just dating. I understand why Phoenix had to leave. She told me Devil and Katie were the only two she ever really opened up to. Devil knew her history and why it took her so long to finally want to give herself to him. He still went and cheated on her. Getting her to promise to keep in touch with me and Katie was the only thing that really mattered. She needed to know that we would still be here for her, whenever she needed us.

The moment I headed inside and saw Devil’s face, I knew he realized just how much he had fucked up. When I said she had left, he ran after her. I don’t know how far he would have gotten, and I really didn’t care because I needed Daniel. I needed his comfort, his safety. Daniel took care of me. The way he checked my hand, like I was the most fragile thing in existence, was everything to me.

Now, here I sit, curled up on his lap, feeling a mix of emotions. I am so happy being in his arms, but at the same time, I want to be pissed and beat the shit out of Devil. Daniel wanted us to stay in the cabin on Friday night, and I thought it would be the best place to finally give myself to him and to show the other tattoo he hadn’t seen yet. But seeing what happened with Devil and Phoenix, I was really worried that those club whores would try something to drive a wedge between Daniel and me. It made a tremor run through my body just thinking about it.

“What are you thinking about, my queen?” Daniel whispered, holding me tighter.

I knew he felt the tremor. “You won’t ever believe one of them stupid whores over me like Devil did to Phoenix, would you?” I whispered, looking down at my hand, not daring to look up at him.

Daniel hooked his finger under my chin, and brought my gaze up to meet his. He studied my expression. He knew this was my first ever relationship with a guy, he knew I was going to be insecure at times. His expression softened, and he whispered, “You will never have to worry about that, my queen. I will always trust you, because I know your heart belongs to me, and mine to you. I wouldn’t believe a single word that came out of their mouths, I would find you and see what was going on. I would do everything to prove that

their words are lies.”

I leaned in and pressed a kiss to his lips, before pulling away and whispering, “Good answer.”

Daniel chuckled softly, before pressing a kiss to my forehead. Just one of the old ladies called out that dinner was ready. Daniel rubbed my back, and said, “Come on, let’s get dinner, and then I am walking you home. I think we both need to go to bed early after the day we have had. We have school tomorrow after

all.”

I nodded, and stood up. Daniel followed, trying to slyly adjust himself. It made me blush and giggle. He raised an eyebrow at me, and said, “Careful you, or I won’t be to blame for the spanking you will get in front

of all these bikers.”

“Do you want to find out?” Daniel smirked, his eyebrow still raised.

I smirked, stepping away from him to go get some food. I turned and began to walk away. Yeah, I had gained enough confidence with him to start teasing him. Daniel shook his head, as we got food and went to sit down. Mike was the first to arrive next to Daniel, and a few minutes later, Katie arrived. Both of them had their own dinner with them. I glanced at Katie, noticing that she had been crying. I patted her hand, trying to reassure her without saying anything. “It will all be okay, I am sure she will come back one day.”

Katie nodded, “It wouldn’t be the same without her. I want to say thanks for how fast you moved to punch

Devil.”

Mike chuckled, “Yeah, remind me never to get on your bad side. The two punches to the face I have seen you do, and you break noses both times. I like my nose the way it is.”

Daniel laughed, “How about I break it for you, maybe it will make you look prettier?”

Katie quietly laughed at Daniel and Mike messing about. I shook my head, but felt glad that Katie was laughing even if it was quietly, “Anyway, after graduation, I will be going to college here in the city, and I want us all to have some fun. Should we see if we can do a road trip?”

“Well, wherever you go, my queen, I will follow you. So, you can count me in. I might not be going to college, but you can bet your cute little ass, I will be picking you up and dropping you off at college every day,” Daniel smiled.

“That would be amazing. I need to speak with my dad about a road trip though, as I am going to start interning at his company over the holidays. Get experience and still complete my studies,” I said. Daniel’s eyes went wide, as he listened to what I said. “That is an amazing opportunity,” Katie said.

Daniel nodded, “You will have to send me your schedule, so I can make sure ours match. That way, we still

get us time.”

“I will help you with that,” I smiled at him.

Dad, Prez, and Dragon came over and sat with us to eat their own dinner. Prez cleared his throat, and we met his gaze. “I know you, girls, probably hate him right now, but he is one of our youngest and best enforcers. We can’t lose him right now. As much as I want to hate Devil, Prez is right, we need him. We need all the manpower we can get until we know exactly where Vargas is and what he plans to do. I nodded, “I understand. He might just be my new sparring partner for the next, however long it takes for me to forgive him.”

The guys on the table chuckled, as Dad said, “Well, I am sure he will want to get you back, especially after

that broken nose. Doc had to set his nose.”

“Aye, be proud that your little girl can break noses with one punch,” Dragon said.

“Oh, I am very proud of her, Dragon,” Dad said to Dragon, though his eyes were fixed on me.

I smiled at my dad. Mike chuckled, “She is Carnage’s woman. Do you expect her to be anything other than someone who can match his destruction?”

My gaze snapped to Mike, as I smirked, “The only difference is, you won’t see the destruction that I can cause until it’s too late for you to stop it.”

Mike’s eyes widened, as he gulped. Our dads burst out laughing. Even Katie was in stitches. Daniel was just smirking, as he said quietly, “That’s my woman. Elegance in the destruction she causes.”

My gaze drifted to Daniel, who shot me a wink. Prez chuckled, “Your son has it bad.”

We fell into a comfortable conversation while we finished eating dinner. After we were done with dinner, Daniel was just about to walk me home, when an alarm went off. CB came running over to our table. “A single man had climbed the fence, he is moving to the clubhouse. East exit, near our meeting room.”

“Mike, Carnage, get Queenie and Katie into Katie’s bedroom now,” Prez ordered, as everyone moved

without another word.

Mike and Daniel swept Katie and me straight to Katie’s bedroom. They were going to keep us on lockdown until this intruder was taken down. Katie was pacing, while I sat with my back against the wall, mediating, of all things. But it is keeping me calm in this situation. Daniel was looking out the window, while Mike watched the door. Standing guard like they were soldiers ready for things to change on a dime.
