138 Chapter 138 Someone Who Makes Her Smile

Blanche’s POV 1

I watched as Zain’s expression tightened when he heard Carry’s words. He softly placed his chin on her head, murmuring, I’m here. I’ll

stay with you.”

Okay,Carry mumbled, not throwing a tantrum but clearly unhappy.

From where I stood, I could see Zain studying her face with concern. Carry seemed disappointed about something, though I couldn’t quite tell what was bothering her exactly.

Carry pressed her head against Zain’s chest.

When she glanced sideways, she spotted me capturing photos of Camila.

We were both giggling and completely absorbed in our fun, oblivious to Carry and Zain watching from behind. I noticed Carry’s shoulders slump as she observed us, a look of sadness crossing her small face.

Carry appeared troubled as she watched us for a while longer, then looked up at Zain. Daddy, let’s go try something different.”

Zain wanted to cheer Carry up, so he immediately agreed.

Still, he felt concerned. He cautiously suggested, We can only stay a short time, though. Your wounds haven’t completely healed.”

Carry bobbed her head. I understand. I’ll behave..

Zain led her to the mini train and the swings.

From what I could see, she enjoyed herself, but something still seemed to be weighing on her mind.

After several attractions, I noticed Carry seemed to grow restless and bored.

When the carousel came to a stop, I helped Camila climb down from her horse.

The moment I straightened up, I caught a bright boy’s voice from behind. Miss?

I spun around and recognized the little boy from last night’s gathering. Today, he sported a casual athletic outfit and a black baseball

cap.

I recalled him clearlyeven his father had addressed him as Dorian.

Seeing him made my face break into a wide grin. Hi there, Dorian. What a surprise running into you here.”

The little boy stood tall and declared seriously, Miss, my name is Dorian Austin.”

I beamed at him. Great to see you again, Dorian. I’ll definitely remember your name now. I’m Blanche Callum.

As Camila spun around, Dorian’s eyes grew huge. MCamila?

Dorian, what brings you here too?Camila asked, stepping away from the carousel platform.

Instead of answering Camila’s question, Dorian turned his head, searching through the crowd, and shouted, Mr. Aarav!

Mr. Aarav? Vincent? I wondered, scanning around, but Vincent was nowhere visible.

Then, staring straight ahead, I noticed Vincent strutting over with his hands shoved deep in his pockets, wearing that trademark

arrogant expression. He had a lollipop stuck in his mouth, his cheek puffed out from the candy’s shape.

As Vincent approached, he completely ignored me.

He simply looked down at Dorian and questioned, What’s going on?

Dorian stepped beside him, linking his finger with Vincent’s. He was about to speak when Camila interrupted, Hey there, Mr. Handsome.

So, how do you know Dorian?

Vincent faced Camila and flashed her a warm smile. I’m good friends with Dorian’s father.”

Camila got it right away. She stepped forward, seized Dorian’s hand, and announced, Perfect. Let’s all hang out together.”

Before Dorian could protest, Camila was already pulling him toward the next attraction.

They all attended the same kindergarten as Carry, so they knew each other well.

The two kids rushed ahead, and I called out worriedly, Camila, take it easy. Watch out so you don’t trip.

Camila yelled back while dragging Dorian onto the trampoline. The pair bounced around, giggling and having an amazing time.

I turned to face Vincent, but he just shifted his head away, showing me only his profile.

Nevertheless, I spoke up. Amara filled me in about last night. Thanks, by the way.”

Vincent remained silent and didn’t even peek at me. He just stood there, completely still. He positioned himself right beside me, keeping

his face averted.

I tried once more, calling out, Vincent?

Vincent continued ignoring me.

He’s absolutely doing this deliberately. He can hear me perfectly well, I thought.

I maintained my composure and said, Listen. You don’t need to keep delivering gifts to the Callum Mansion. I genuinely don’t want any

of them.

Vincent stayed silent, refusing to respond regardless of what I said. His cold treatment made me question whether he was actually the

one who brought me to the hospital last night. But Amara wouldn’t deceive me.

I had no clue what Vincent’s issue was, but I wasn’t going to push him for answers.

We existed in completely separate worlds; our lives barely intersected anyway. Honestly, it would be better if he avoided me.

I was concerned Camila might get injured, so I followed after her.

The second I walked away, Vincent trailed right behind me.

Camila jumped off the trampoline, exhausted, and asked me for some water.

Vincent was hopeless at caring for children and hadn’t brought any drinks. Fortunately, I had an extra bottle and gave it to Dorian.

After Camila drank her water, she grabbed Vincent’s hand. Mr. Aarav, will you ride the big airplane with me? Since Aunt Blanche injured

her hand, she can’t join me.

Vincent grinned warmly and replied, Of course.”

Camila clasped his hand and excitedly ran toward the airplane ride.

The two of them climbed onto the ride, and Vincent held Camila securely in his arms.

Dorian insisted he was scared of heights, and even when Camila teased him as a coward, he simply shook his head and declined to

participate.

Dorian and I sat down on a bench, and I began taking pictures of Camila enjoying herself.

From my position on the ground, I could see Camila and Vincent talking animatedly during the ride, though I couldn’t make out their

conversation over the noise of the attraction. Camila seemed quite serious about whatever they were discussing, gesturing with her

hands as she spoke.

When the ride finally came to an end and they climbed down, Camila ran over to me with a big smile on her face.

Aunt Blanche!she called out breathlessly. Mr. Aarav is really nice. We had a great talk up there.”

I raised an eyebrow curiously. Oh? What did you two talk about?

Camila bounced on her toes. I told him he should keep trying hard if he wants to make someone happy. Ms. Suzanne always says we

need to keep pushing if we want to be good children. And I told him about Mr. Jake too you know, how he walked you home that time?

Mr. Aarav wanted to know who was more handsome between him and Mr. Jake.”

I felt my cheeks warm slightly. Camila, you didn’t need to-

But I told him I don’t want to pick favorites,” Camila continued earnestly. I just want you to be happy, Aunt Blanche. You never smile

when you’re around your husband. I can’t stand him. I just hope you find someone who makes you smile every single day.
