Chapter 90 The Breaking Point
Truman let out a quiet sigh.
Finished
“I can see how much Leonard cares about Larissa. Consider this my way of making up for what I did two
years ago.
“Only if the shares are in his family’s hands will he truly devote himself to running the Sowles Group.
“That’s the only way the Sowles Group won’t fall apart.
“As for Roy, if he knows his place, he’ll live in wealth and comfort for the rest of his life. Otherwise…”
A cold, dangerous light flashed in his eyes.
Derek hadn’t expected Truman to have thought this far ahead.
For so long, Truman had stayed out of everything. Everyone assumed he was preparing to let Roy’s family take control.
Now, it was clear he’d only been waiting.
And now, the moment had come.
Derek nodded and immediately called the lawyer.
Outside the study, a servant had been listening. He’d heard everything.
He quickly went to report to Roy, telling him that Truman wanted Leonard back in charge and about the will.
Roy’s face instantly turned dark, his eyes burning with jealousy and rage.
“Why? Why does Leonard get everything the second he comes back, and that bastard who popped out of nowhere?”
He clenched his fists, his whole body shaking, resentment growing wild inside him.
“You stubborn old man, if you’re gonna play favorites, don’t blame me for what happens next.”
Roy’s eyes shifted, and a vicious plan began forming in his mind.
He immediately called someone over and spoke in a low voice.
Certain that his plan was flawless, a sinister smile spread across his face. After tomorrow, the Sowles will belong to me alone.
Marcrest, Turner Estate.
Turner Group’s stock had completely crashed.

Their cash flow had been cut off.
In other words, without new funding, Turner Group would go bankrupt very soon.
Morris swept everything off his desk in a violent rage.
After venting his anger, he turned to the others, his face full of fury.
“I built Turner Group with my own hands, and now it’s about to collapse.
“If Turner Group goes bankrupt, the villas, the luxury cars, the designer bags, the clothes, the jewelry–all of it will be gone.
“The life we lived, with drivers and status, it’ll all disappear.
“So tell me the truth. What exactly did you do to Larissa?”
Finally, his gaze landed on Julia, filled with disappointment.
“Julia, are those videos online real?
“Everything that happened before, you set her up?
“You started that fire?
“You jumped yourself?
“All those accusations–you planned them?”
The daughter he’d always believed was innocent and gentle had turned out to be calculating and false.
If she hadn’t tried to ruin Larissa, Larissa would never have released those videos.
This was all her fault.
Larissa only fought back to clear her name and to get revenge on Julia.
He never imagined something like this would destroy him.
A century of the Turner Group’s legacy, and it was ending with him.
He felt regret. He felt unwilling to accept it.
If he’d just treated Larissa a little better, would things have turned out differently?
But what had he done?
Every single time, he stood against her, blaming her without question, cursing her, and even sending her away to another country without mercy.
He hurt her again and again.

And now he understood something clearly. Larissa truly didn’t want him as her father anymore.
Julia had never seen Morris this furious before.
Priscilla nudged her daughter and gave her a look.

Julia understood immediately. Tears poured down her face as she spoke in a trembling, aggrieved voice.
