Katrina’s words were clearly aimed at Nina.

Nina smiled. “Then you’d better keep a close eye on your husband, Katrina. Make sure he doesn’t cross any lines with other women. I can let what happened last night slide, but if it happens again, the Tann family won’t just let it go.”
“I heard about last night,” Katrina replied. “I’m sure Chase just lost control after drinking. It was wrong, and I’m sorry, but I hope you won’t hold it against him.”
Just then, the sales associate returned with the packaged items and handed them to Katrina. She was about to leave when Nina spoke again.
“Oh, right. I remember you arrived with Chase last night. But when I left, I didn’t see you. Where did you go?”
The question made Katrina’s heart skip. She brushed it off casually. “I drank too much and left early.”
“Really? But you came in the same car as Chase. If you left early, who drove you home?”
“What does that have to do with you?” Katrina snapped. “The Mercer family and the Tann family have nothing to do with each other anymore. I’d appreciate it if you stayed away from Chase. He has a wife and child–he’s not interested in you.”
With that, she turned and walked out of the store.
Charlotte scoffed, clearly annoyed. “What was that attitude? She can’t even keep her own husband in line and still has the nerve to twist things around. Like Nina would ever be interested in her husband.”
Watching Katrina’s hurried retreat, Nina suddenly caught onto something.
From the way Katrina reacted, she had clearly been lying.
She hadn’t left the hotel last night at all.
“Charlotte, I need to head out. I’ll have the driver take you home.”
“Where are you going?”
“I think I left something at the hotel last night. I’m going back to get it.”

Nina nodded. After sending Charlotte off with the driver, she took a taxi to The Solstice.
As soon as the manager saw her, he hurried over. “Ms. Tann, why didn’t you let us know you were coming? We could’ve arranged a car to pick you up.”
“I’m just here to look for something. No need for the fuss.”
“Did you lose something? I’ll have someone search for it right away.”
“That’s okay. I’ll handle it myself.” Nina hesitated slightly. “I do need access to your surveillance room, though.”
“The surveillance room?” The manager looked surprised.
“Is that a problem?”
“Not exactly… It’s just that Mr. Grey also lost something last night, and he’s there right now.”
Nina paused.
Jensen lost something?
What could be so important that he had to come in person?
“It’s fine. I’ll go take a look.”
With that, Nina headed toward the surveillance room.
Two bodyguards in black stood outside the surveillance room. The moment they saw Nina approach, they stepped in front of her.
“Sorry, miss. Mr. Grey is inside. Please wait.”
Since they clearly had no intention of letting her in, Nina raised her voice toward the door. “Jensen, it’s Nina.”
A moment later, the door opened. Jensen looked at her–she stood there in a light beige dress -and said, “Come in.”
Nina stepped inside. The monitors were replaying footage from the previous night, showing both the banquet hall and the second–floor corridor.
Jensen casually adjusted the controls, scanning through the footage. The video was fast
