Nina paid no attention. Katrina’s pride would only lead to her regret later on.

Katrina spent so much time dating Chase that her schoolwork had long fallen by the wayside.
In her past life, Katrina had been an outstanding student, earning a scholarship to study abroad after graduation–and that had made her Chase’s unforgettable muse.
But in this life, Katrina cared only about her relationship with Chase. She had barely studied in the past month; it wouldn’t show right away, but when finals came around, she would realize just how far behind she had fallen.
Nina refused to waste time fighting over a man. Her top priority was catching up on her studies and regaining the academic standing she had in her past life.
Three days later, finals arrived.
Based on their previous midterm scores, Nina, Jensen, Chase, and Katrina were all assigned to the same exam room.
The final exam was harder than the midterm, but Nina handled it with ease, finishing her paper 20 minutes early. Katrina, however, was not faring nearly as well.
During the midterm, she and Chase had only just started dating, so she had performed steadily.
But this month, head–over–heels in love with Chase, she had skipped classes regularly and even copied other students‘ homework.
Every second counted in sophomore year. Even a week of slacking could create a huge gap between her and her peers–let alone an entire month.
After the exam, Nina noticed Katrina’s face had gone pale.
Katrina had always been the class beauty with top grades, so her classmates had always enjoyed being her friends.
As usual, they gathered around to compare answers with her.
Normally, Katrina would patiently go over the answers with them, but this time she stood up abruptly and said, “I’m not feeling well. I need to use the restroom.”
Seeing Katrina unwell, Chase rushed over anxiously to check on her.

Chapter 21 The Exam Outcome
Watching Katrina’s reaction, Nina knew she had been right.
Katrina had most likely performed terribly on the finals.
That afternoon, after the last exam ended, Jensen waited for Nina outside Class A.

As soon as Nina stepped out of her classroom, she spotted Jensen. Before she could walk toward him, she heard Tara’s voice from behind. “Well, look at that–Jensen’s waiting for Nina again.”
“Yeah, they walk to and from school together every single day, and they’re all cuddled up during breaks. You don’t think they’re in a relationship, do you?”
“Nina, I thought you were such a role model. You’re sneaking around in a relationship too- how dare you report Katrina and Chase back then?”
The small group of girls surrounding Katrina taunted Nina without hesitation.
Especially after learning from Katrina that Nina was just a driver’s daughter, they disliked her
even more.
Even though they were all daughters of small business owners, a clear social hierarchy existed among them.
Jensen’s brow furrowed, a faint coldness flashing in his eyes.
The girls shrank back in fear at his glare and immediately fell silent.
Everyone knew about Jensen’s past involvement in a group fight. To the entire school, he was a dangerous ticking time bomb.
“Ignore them,” Nina said, handing her backpack to Jensen.
Jensen took it naturally.
Before they left, he glanced coldly at the girls. “Watch your mouths.”
