A voice cut in from not far away. Hunter walked over with a cold smile. “Chase, are you or just deaf? She cries a little and you completely lose your spine. Are you even a man?”

Chase had just been beaten by Hunter the other day and was still stewing over it. Now, being mocked only made him angrier. “What, done cozying up to Jensen and now you’re onto Hunter? Nina, I didn’t expect you to be so… charming–running around showing yourself off like that.”

The moment the words left his mouth, a figure flashed past him. A fist slammed into the left side of his face. Chase staggered back several steps and crashed to the ground.

“Chase!” Katrina rushed forward to help him up.

When she looked up, she realized it was Jensen who had thrown the punch.

He had already been sent to Class F before for getting into group fights at school.

The girl looked nervous, but she spoke anyway. “It… it was Katrina. She asked me to call Nina out. Nina was about to leave, but Katrina insisted, saying she had something to talk about. That’s why Nina went with her.”

A flicker of panic crossed Katrina’s eyes, but she quickly composed herself and turned to Chase. “I did call Nina over. I just wanted to clear things up. I was worried she might keep pressuring you to marry her, so…”

Seeing how fragile and pitiful she looked, Chase softened immediately. “I know. This isn’t your fault.”
