The Rejected Luna (Avery and Kaden) novel Chapter 30

**Chapter 21**

**Blair’s POV**

As I stood there, observing the pitiful expressions etched across their faces, a wave of disgust washed over me. The sight of them, so broken and contrite, only deepened my resolve.

“I’ve made myself abundantly clear,” I stated, my voice steady yet laced with an undercurrent of bitterness. “I refuse to be your sister. I will not be Christian’s Luna. All I desire is to simply be myself.”

Their faces twisted in response, shifting from shock to hurt, a painful reminder of the bond we once shared.

“Blair, we understand we made grave mistakes. It was all Carrie’s doing… We were blinded by her deceit—” Lysander began, desperation creeping into his tone.

I let out a cold, humorless laugh, raising my arm deliberately so they could see the scars that marred my skin.

“This? Carrie sent a viper to attack me. And because you chose to deny me medical care, I nearly breathed my last. The venom coursing through my veins has left me with permanent nerve damage.”

I turned my gaze toward Lysander, pointing at the scar on my back, a jagged reminder of my suffering.

“This scar? Carrie fabricated a false accusation, and I was punished with countless lashes. The marks etched into my skin have never truly faded.”

Then, I gestured toward my chest, my voice rising with an intensity fueled by years of pent-up pain. “Christian, you hit me with your car. You broke three of my ribs. The agony resurfaces every time it rains, a relentless reminder of your actions.”

“And these scars on my wrists?” I continued, my voice thick with emotion. “You all tied me up and left me dangling over that treacherous cliff. The rope burns are a constant reminder of your betrayal.”

My entire body felt like a canvas of wounds, each scar a gift from them, a testament to their cruelty.

“I long to forget all of this. But how can I? Each scar screams at me, each pang of pain is a relentless reminder—I cannot escape.”

I had so much more to unleash, but Christian seemed to crumble under the weight of my words. His throat constricted, and whatever rehearsed lines he had prepared evaporated into thin air, leaving him speechless.

What could he possibly say? All those carefully crafted apologies lay shattered in the face of my reality.

He opened his mouth, but the only words that emerged were a weak, “I’m sorry… I didn’t know… I swear, I didn’t know… I was lied to…”

That only deepened my disdain. I regarded him with a heart colder than ice.

“You keep uttering those empty apologies. But do you even grasp what you’re apologizing for?”

“Yes, Carrie was cruel. But don’t dare pretend you were innocent.”

My gaze shifted to Lysander, the so-called Alpha of the Blood Stone Pack. “You hold the power, the resources, the connections to uncover the truth. Yet, you never even bothered to look.”

“Your eyes were always glued to Carrie. Always showering her with praise, shielding her from accountability. Did you ever once glance in my direction?”
