The Rejected Luna (Avery and Kaden) novel Chapter 71

**Chapter 15**

After Ryan had forcefully ejected Chloe from his life, she found herself focusing on a new target: his family.

Initially, the idea of secretly terminating her pregnancy had crossed her mind. It seemed like the simplest solution, a way to erase the complication that had suddenly entwined her life with Ryan’s. But as she sat alone in her thoughts, a realization dawned upon her. This pregnancy, rather than being a burden, could actually serve as a powerful weapon in her arsenal.

With renewed determination, she resolved to confide in Olivia about her condition. It was a calculated risk, but Chloe believed that even if Olivia harbored resentment toward her, she would have no choice but to accept the existence of the child. After all, blood ties were not easily severed, and the impending arrival of her child would create an undeniable bond.

Yet, there was more at stake than mere acceptance. Chloe intended to leverage her pregnancy as a means of intimidation against the Silvermoon Pack. The repercussions of this news becoming public were well known among the pack members. The Alpha King had once decreed that any Alpha or Luna who bore an illegitimate child would face severe consequences, including the loss of their title and expulsion from the pack. Chloe relished the thought of wielding this information like a sword, ready to strike when the moment was right.

When she finally approached Olivia, the older woman’s expression was a mixture of irritation and reluctant acknowledgment. “You know this isn’t going to be easy,” Olivia warned, her voice tinged with exasperation. “But we both understand what’s at stake here. You need to make Ryan see that he has no choice.”

Chloe held onto the flicker of hope that once she stepped into Ryan’s home, he would come around, that he would embrace her and their future together.

However, when Ryan discovered the full scope of the situation, his fury was palpable. He hurled his phone against the wall, the sound echoing in the silence of the room. “I won’t accept this! I refuse to let her be my Luna! I have only one Luna!” he bellowed, his voice reverberating with anger and disbelief.

Olivia, her head pounding from the stress of the situation, shot back, “Whether you like it or not, you need to come to terms with this! Your reckless choices have already put the entire pack at risk. Do you want to see everything collapse around you?”

She was done arguing; this was Ryan’s mess to untangle, and he needed to take responsibility for his actions. With a heavy heart, Olivia directed Chloe to Ryan’s house, hoping that confrontation would spur Ryan into action.

As Chloe stood before Ryan, she felt a chill run through her. His face was a mask of indifference, and she felt a pang of fear. “What do you want?” he asked, his tone icy, devoid of any warmth.

Her heart raced, tears welling in her eyes. She reached for his hand, desperate for connection. “I miss you,” she murmured, her voice trembling.

“Your mother has already agreed for us to be together,” she continued, her words spilling out in a rush. “I don’t want anything else. I just want to be with you, Ryan. Please.” Her plea was laced with desperation, a raw vulnerability that she hoped would reach him.

But Ryan’s expression remained unchanged, as if her words were mere whispers lost in the wind. “I don’t want to be with you. Stay as far away from me as possible,” he replied, his voice laced with disdain.

Chloe stared at him, disbelief washing over her. What had happened to the man she once knew? The one who had held her close and whispered sweet nothings in her ear? Tears streamed down her cheeks as she placed a trembling hand on her stomach. “Ryan, you may not love me, but our child…”
