The Rejected Principessa Returns novel Chapter 129

Chapter 8

I gave a calm smile. “Took you this long to figure it out? That’s just pathetic.”

“Ethan, you’ve relied on the Blake family’s power for so long, you’ve clearly forgotten how the Grant Group

got its start.”

I raised the divorce papers in my hand and laughed, genuinely amused.

“All of our shared assets are currently under legal review. Until the division is complete, you won’t see a

single cent!”

When I married Ethan, my parents had already prepared for this day.

The prenuptial agreement was over a hundred pages long-just in case I ever ended up in a situation like

this.

My money stays mine, and all of Ethan’s money counts as marital property.

And I wasn’t just sitting around being a trophy wife after the wedding-I was building my career, taking full

control of Blake Holdings.

Now, or even after the divorce, Ethan still wouldn’t see a dime.

When the crowd realized Ethan couldn’t pay, the fake sweetness on Roxie’s face finally cracked. She lost it.

“Vivian Blake, you’re so cold! You’ve been married for years-how could you not leave him a single dollar?”

I didn’t even bother looking her way. “Leaving it to him is no different than handing it to his mistress.”

“Don’t worry, Roxie, I’ll deal with you soon enough.”

There was an icy edge in my voice, and Roxie’s expression shifted. She dared not say another word.

The auction manager cleared his throat awkwardly. “Mr. Grant, do you have any other items you can offer as

collateral?”

Ethan scowled and mentally ran through all his assets. The more he thought, the darker his face became.

He really didn’t have the money.

Seeing his expression, the manager discreetly curled his lip.

“According to the rules, we’ll need to reclaim the necklace for now.”

“And you’ll have one month to pay the 60.61 million dollars for tonight’s Blue Diamond bid. Otherwise, we’ll be pursuing legal action.”

Ethan had never been spoken to like this before. His chest heaved several times before he could catch his

breath.

This wasn’t some charity event where you could walk away after bidding. In an auction, once you raise your paddle, it’s binding. Even if you have to sell everything you own-you pay.

Without the Blake family backing him, Ethan was nothing more than a washed-up man waiting to be stepped

He glared daggers at me, then flung his arm out angrily. “Let’s go! I’ll send the money later.””

The auction manager turned to Roxie, voice cold with contempt. “Miss, please return the necklace.”
