The Rejected True Heiress (Liora and Callum) novel Chapter 163

“It’s not. You know you can always trust me, Callum.”

“Can I?” I narrowed my eyes as I pulled out the envelope’s contents. But when I looked down at them, they widened again. “You… You got tickets. How…?”

“How do you think?” Bianca perched on the edge of her bed, crossing her legs at the knees. “They were all sold out, but I managed to find a reseller. He scalped me for them, but it was worth it. Even if half the student population thinks I’m a cheater now, it was still worth it.”

I stared down at the concert tickets in my hand, unsure of what to say. Two VIP tickets to the Dead by Summer concert that was coming up next weekend. Front row, right there in the pit, and I’d even get to meet the band afterwards.

I had tried like hell to get a ticket for the concert, but they had sold out in a matter of minutes. Dead by Summer was my favorite band in the entire world; I had been pretty bummed that I couldn’t go, and had mentioned it in passing to Bianca a few days ago.

“Well?” Bianca asked softly. “Do you believe me now?”

I looked up at her, still holding the tickets. I couldn’t speak.

She smiled wistfully. “I wanted to wait to surprise you, but… Well, here we are. I know you were upset that you couldn’t get any, so I had to find a way to get them for us.”

“Us?” I blurted out. “I thought you didn’t like Dead by Summer. In fact, you said their music was like nails on a chalkboard.”

Bianca shrugged. “What kind of a girlfriend would I be if I didn’t support my boyfriend’s interests? Besides, we didn’t get a chance to win a date at the mating ceremony, so I wanted to make it up to you.” She stood again, walking over to me. “I love you, Callum. Only you.”
