The Rejected True Heiress (Liora and Callum) novel Chapter 260

Liora’s POV

Ambrose’s lips curled nastily.

“Can I help you, Liora?” he sneered.

I stared at the scene, my phone trembling in my hand now. It wasn’t Mia who Ambrose had taken to his room. It was his own fiancee.

She must have followed him at the same time I went to find Mia. They must have come straight here for a little pre-ceremony rendezvous.

My hand dropped back to my side, although I kept recording, just to be safe.

“Where’s Mia?” I blurted out.

“Who?” Ambrose’s fiancee pushed away from the wall, smoothing down her white dress. She looked between me and Ambrose with obvious confusion.

Before Ambrose could answer, I whirled toward her. “You have to know something before you marry him. Whatever he told you, it’s a lie. He’s a rapist, and if you marry him tonight, he’s going to—”

“Going to what?” Bianca’s voice suddenly came from behind me. I turned quickly to find her standing in the doorway. A small crowd was standing behind her, Jessica amongst them.

My mouth worked wordlessly for a moment. Finally, I managed, “Ambrose is… He raped me.” But the words came out as a mere squeak. I felt a flush creep up my neck and tears prick my eyes. The disbelief on all of their faces just made it worse.

They didn’t believe me. Of course they didn’t.

Why would they? To them, I was a wolfless, a nobody, someone who they thought deserved to be ignored.

“Your guest thinks I’m a cheater and a rapist, cousin,” Ambrose said. He wrapped his arm around his fiancee’s slender waist and pulled her close. His eyes flashed with anger. “Is this the kind of person you invite to your parties?”

“It’s true!” I protested, whirling on him next. “I know what you did all those years ago.” I pointed at the scratches on the headboard. “I know what you do to unsuspecting girls, and what you’ll do to your new wife the moment you get a chance!”
