Zane let out a low chuckle, nuzzling against the shell of her ear. "Why are you holding such a grudge? You know I didn't mean it like that."

"I'll show you later," Zane whispered, taking her earlobe between his teeth. "Let me take care of you tonight, alright?"

"No need. You're the one paying; you're the boss."

Seeing her stubborn refusal, Zane pressed a heavy, lingering kiss against the crook of her neck.

"Come on, just help me out a little?"

"Not a chance."

"Then I'll help you out." With that, Zane slid his hand smoothly past the lapels of her robe.

Elara let out a breathy moan. "Stop messing around. Go take a shower first."
