Chapter 41: Questions Running Through MyHess
Deidr’s POV
1 want to push more. I went to make Boston anowed every single question that I have Burdon even know where to start. Or if I’m even ready for the answers in the first place a call stogging to comprehend the fact that Bry just told me he wanted an actual relationship was me
Did he mean that? is it really not just because of Waylen? Was it really just always bad timing and misunderstandings that kept us apart?
1 don’t know if I believe you I blurted as Briton stood between my legs and finished starting the pot of coffee I was working on before he put his sailed hands all over me.
That Waylen misses you?” he asked teasingly, relog a brow at me.
“That he isn’t the reason you want a relationship with me,‘ I said.
1 Kinda suspected you’d think that, he replied with a nod. “Which was why I wasn’t going to tell you. I was just going to prove it until you fell madly in love with me and never wanted to let me go.” He beamed at me and I gave him a flat look, making him snort.
“Look, Wisteria, my kid adores you and I won’t lie, that sh.it does things to my heart,” he admitted. “He’s happier with you than he is with anyone else. saw a side of him with you that I never saw with his mother, or at all before. And the way you act with him, how protective you are, that shit is a huge turn–on, babe. That being said, I am a grown man who would never subject himself to a loveless relationship for the sake of my kid. Waylen would be able to tell anyway, and he wouldn’t want that, even if it was you.”
“So…?” I trailed off, wanting him to be completely transparent.
Brix rolled his eyes at me.
“So, no, that’s not the reason why I want you, Rosebud, he said. “It’s just a few hella great perks. A few traits that make you more desirable. But I promise you that I wanted you before Waylen was even born.”
I snorted at that, but Brixton didn’t bat an eye.
“What?” I blurted, unsure of what the f***k else to say.
“Questions later,” he said, gently smacking the side of my thigh. “Go put some clothes on.”
“Later,” I grumbled, not moving. “How can I even wat until later?”
“Because we aren’t ready for that talk yet,” he replied. “I got a lot to prove to you still.”

“What does that even mean?” I asked, giving him a pleading look.
Brixton stared into my eyes for an intense moment.

“You know exactly what it means,” he said. “Now go get dressed before I drag you back there and dress you myself.”
Oh god, what a lousy threat that was.
“Well, uhm, uh, w–what about you?” I asked awkwardly, my face flaming.
Brix looked down at his d***k that hadn’t deflated in the least since he walked through the door. It
was impossible for me not to notice it. I mean, it felt… huge. I can’t lie. I really just can’t. I mean, I
only have Theo to compare to personally, but I never thought Theo was small either. I’ve seen
di.cks, don’t get me wrong. I’m not a prude. I’ve watched porn. Theo was actually impressive
compared to what I’d seen. The fact that I think Brixton felt bigger… Well, I’d be lying if I said I
wasn’t nervous. And curious. Very curious.
“This wasn’t about me. It’ll go down. Just go get dressed, okay?” he said as he pulled me off the
counter. I slid down his body, unsure if I had done it or he had. Either way, one of us had done it on
purpose.
My breath caught when I felt his hard member push into my stomach. My lips parted and Brixton’s
eyes zeroed in on them. A shiver ran through me. And just like that, we were right back to that
lust–fog we were just in. This time, I wanted to poke at him and keep going. Which he must have
guessed by the smile on my face because he quickly took a step back. I pouted unintentionally.
“You’re killing me,” he grumbled.
“I was trying to help,” I mumbled.
“Helping would be not teasing me and putting more clothes on,” he said as I walked past him.
I turned my head to give him a sly smile.
“I could put on all the clothes in my closet right now and still help you out with that, Brixton,” I
replied, my eyes flickered to his tented pajama pants. “My mouth does more than just talk back.”
Then I threw him a wink of my own before rushing back to my bedroom.
I was feeling giddy and confident. I had no idea where the confidence suddenly came from, but I
loved it for myself. I thought that I would leave Brixton stumped in the kitchen, but much to my surprise, I heard him stomping after me. I looked back to see him charging my way with a wicked
grin on his face.
I squealed as my body jumped. I started giggling like a little kid as my feet picked up speed. I heard Brixton chuckle right before I felt him scoop me up in his arms. He lifted me off my feet, pinning my back to his chest. I was still giggling, a huge smile on my face. His head was right

beside mine, his breath fanning my hair and neck.

“You makin‘ me a promise, Lotus?” He asked, his voice breathy with excitement, sending a shiver down my spine.
“I could just do it now-”
“No, not when our son is waiting for us,” he cut me off, burying his face in my hair. “But promise me that it’ll happen.”
I turned my head to look into his eyes.
“I’ll promise you… if you answer one question for me right now,” I bargained.
Brixton gave me a pained look before blowing out a breath right in my face. At least he brushed his teeth this morning.
“Sunflower…” he groaned.
“How about I ask it, and then you make your decision?” I offered. “I’ll even let you stay in here while I get dressed.”
“Not a good idea,” he muttered, though he didn’t look like he meant it.
“Okay fine, then agree with me,” I stated.
“Fine,” he growled playfully. “What is it you want to know from me?”
I chewed on my bottom lip as Brix set me back on my feet. I turned around in his arms. He wasn’t willing to let me go, and I clung to him like someone who had a right to. Like someone who mattered. And I sincerely hope I wasn’t making a fool out of myself.
“You called Waylen our son,” I started. “I know we’re doing this whole fake thing, and I know we joke about it since he and I are so close, but… You just told me you want us to have something real. You called him our son after you said that. Brixton, I need to know what the situation is with Glory if you’re serious about this,” I said. It wasn’t a question, but he knew what I was asking. “I don’t even know if she still comes around to see him ever,” I added. “Or if she might ever come back to reclaim him. She is his birth mother.”
Brixton looked at me for a moment. His expression was blank, but his eyes held… something. Almost like he wasn’t sure how to answer. Or if he should answer. I wasn’t sure what that meant. Does she still live at the clubhouse and just isn’t allowed to leave? That would explain why I never see her around town and why Waylen would rather be with me after school than go home.
“Oh god,” I whispered. “Is she still at the clubhouse? Does she know that her son prefers me over her?”
That made Brixton snort.

“I can confidently say that she knows he prefers you over her,” he replied. “He wasn’t shy about it
after I found out what she had been doing.”
“Okay, and now?” I asked.
“Wisteria, if you’re worried about her coming back to claim Waylen, don’t be,” he said. “She can’t take him from me, or you.”
“But she’s his birth mother,” I argued. “Unless you made her sign her rights away, she could come
back whenever.”
“Baby, trust me,” he said, moving his hands to grab my face. He leaned down, making sure we were looking each other in the eyes. “She is never coming back.”
“How can you be so sure?” I whispered. “What if I take you seriously and this all becomes real, and then she comes back and ruins it all? Legally, I won’t matter more than her. If she starts trouble-”
“Deidra, listen to me very carefully,” Brix cut me off, sounding more stern than I’d ever heard him. The look in his eyes was different too. Harder. In that biker way. And I suddenly realized that this
was the first time I was seeing Brixton like this. As inx of The Salvation Knights. “Glory is never,
ever coming back. You have nothing to worry about when it comes to her. Nothing. Ever. She will
never be a problem again.”
I stared at him as his words sank in. I know the MC enough to know I shouldn’t ask more, but… I
really just couldn’t help myself.
“Did you… get rid of her?” I asked.
“Baby, you know I can’t tell you more than I already have,” he replied, rubbing his thumbs across my
cheeks. “All you need to know is that neither you nor Waylen will ever have to worry about her
again.”
God, that should have scared me. That should have sent me packing. I know what that means. It
means he got rid of Glory either by killing her or threatening her. Either way, he’s extremely confident that she’s not coming back. It should terrify me to know that Brixton is willing to go so
far to protect his son.
But it really fucking doesn’t. Not at all. Because, hell, I wanted to kill the bi.tch multiple times too.
She abandoned her son at a public place with strangers nearly daily. She was so awful that I worried about Waylen the nights she didn’t bring him by.
So, honestly, what Brixton said had the complete opposite effect on me. It made me horny. It made me respect him more. It made me see him as a protector instead of an annoying curse.
But for now, that would be my little secret.
