Grace frowns. “But you’re the real daughter! He is your biological brother. Why would he treat a

fake…”

Tara chuckles softly. “Maybe the fake is just better at sweet-talking, and I’m too stubborn. Anyway, it’s getting late. Let’s head back.”

Before long, Tara tosses the entire encounter out of her mind. As soon as she returns to the villa, she receives a call from Danny.

“Did you have fun shopping today?” the man’s deep, magnetic voice travels through the phone.

Tara lounges lazily on the sofa, her tone casual. “It was alright. I just ran into two annoying pests.”

Danny lets out a low chuckle. “Need me to take care of them for you?”

“No, I can handle it. This little matter isn’t worth you lifting a finger,” Tara says dismissively.

Hearing this, a flash of admiration crosses Danny’s eyes. He loves her edge and independence, yet he still feels the urge to protect her. Even he finds it incredible-how could he harbor such thoughts when they just met?

“Alright, just let me know if you need anything,” he replies, his deep voice laced with indulgence.

Meanwhile, at the Dennis residence. Alec and Jade storm into the house. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis are sitting in the living room, sipping tea and chatting.

Alec immediately vents his outrage. “Dad, Mom, you have no idea what Tara has turned into! Not only is she arrogant, but she’s completely lost her morals. She’s some guy’s mistress! She has utterly disgraced our family!”

Jade’s eyes rim red as she softly chimes in, “Alec, don’t be angry. Maybe Tara was just… momentarily confused…”

“What? Are you saying she actually dared to do such a thing?” Mr. Dennis explodes in fury.
