The Scorned Heiress: No More Mercy novel Chapter 345

Inside the Dennis Group headquarters.

"Mr. Dennis, the botanical yields for this quarter are disastrous. Both volume and quality are far below our projections," a senior executive reports.

"Worse still, our rare medicinal crops in the greenhouse sectors are suffering massive die-offs. Several of our high-value hybrids are visibly withering," another adds.

"If this trend continues, our supply quotas for the federal government and our pharmaceutical partners will face catastrophic shortages. We will lose our monopoly and market dominance in a matter of months."

Charles sits at the head of the conference table, bombarded by bad news from every direction. His temples throb.

"Do any of you have actual solutions?" Charles roars, slamming his hand against the table. "I don't pay you to recite problems! I want a fix!"

The room falls dead silent. The executives avert their eyes, suddenly fascinated by their notepads. Charles scowls. A bunch of useless cowards. They are brilliant at complaining but vanish the second real action is required. Even the high-priced specialists he hired earlier this year have proven entirely incompetent, offering nothing but expensive, empty meetings. The bleeding hasn't stopped.

Charles’s face darkens, the veins in his forehead pulsing with suppressed rage as he clenches his fists.
