The car rolls to a stop at a red light. Danny turns to look at her, his gaze intense. “Why don’t I just pay your penalty fee? There’s no need to let them control you.”

“No, I want to play this out to the end. I just hope they don’t regret it when the curtain falls,” Tara says with a faint smile.

She wagers Jake is already regretting his decision to put her on The Elite Circle. Even without checking the audience’s reaction, the reporters’ behavior at the wrap party told her everything she needed to know. If Jake wants to keep escalating, she is more than ready to oblige.

Back at the apartment, Tara drops her bags and immediately begins Danny’s treatment. A week has passed, and she needs to clear the ingering toxins from his system.

Danny lies shirtless on the treatment bed, his toned muscles on full display.

‘Your pulse is much steadier than last week. It seems the new herbal ‘ormula is working,” Tara says, completely focused as she checks his

wrist.

Danny half-closes his eyes, his voice low. “Yeah. I’ve been sleeping much better.”

Tara takes out her silver needles, her hands moving with practiced precision as she inserts them into the pressure points along his back. ‘You still need time to recover. The toxins in your body aren’t completely gone.”

As a needle pierces his skin, Danny’s muscles instinctively tense. Taral catches it immediately. “Does it hurt?”

“I’m fine,” Danny says, opening his eyes to study the serious profile of her face. “Do you need me to go with you to the Dennis estate tomorrow?”

Tara’s hands never stop moving. “No. I can handle it.”

Once the session wraps up, Danny sits up and slowly buttons his shirt. “By the way, I have something to show you.” He hands over his phone. The screen displays the top trending topics related to The Elite Circle:

Tara laughs softly. “Jake must be kicking himself for putting me on that show.”

‘But you’re a cash cow now. Shouldn’t he be thrilled?” Danny asks.

‘You don’t get it. His entire goal was to make Jade a star. Now that it’s backfired, how could he be happy?” A hint of mockery flashes in Tara’s eyes as she hands the phone back. “But this is just the beginning.”

The more activities and shows Jake books for her, the more famous she becomes, allowing her to crush Jade completely. As an obsessive brother, Jake is guaranteed to lose his mind over it.

Danny watches her thoughtfully. “So you plan to keep playing along with them?”
