The Scorned Heiress: No More Mercy novel Chapter 426

"I really don't see what the fuss is about. You're worrying over absolutely nothing," Julianna says, a faint, amused smile playing on her lips. "I will handle the situation. Now, let's drop the subject and focus on the masterclass."

Her tone leaves no room for argument, and a heavy silence falls over the room. Even Mrs. Higgins and Bonnie know better than to push the issue. Jade, who initially sparked the gossip, wisely keeps her mouth shut. Still, she throws covert glances at Julianna, her mind spinning with doubt. Is this woman genuinely indifferent, or is she just putting on an act? If Evan chased after another woman so publicly, Jade knows she would be suffocating with rage, desperate for retaliation. Yet Julianna’s reaction is entirely unreadable.

The botanical blending and tea ceremony class resumes, but Jade’s attention is completely derailed. She spends the rest of the session searching Julianna’s flawless features for any crack in her armor. Julianna, however, engages in an effortless, high-level discussion with Mrs. Higgins, utterly unbothered by the earlier drama.

Once the session concludes, Jade intentionally drags her feet, waiting to intercept Julianna in the hallway. Feigning casual curiosity, she asks, "Miss Sinclair, does it really not bother you that Danny is going on a reality show for someone else?"

Julianna stops walking. She turns slowly, her gaze turning somber and predatory as it locks onto Jade. "Being a busybody is a dangerous habit," she says, her voice chillingly calm. "I suggest you break it. It won't end well for you."

Without waiting for a response, Julianna turns on her heel and strides away. Left alone in the corridor, Jade shivers, a sudden wave of unease washing over her. The woman's aura was downright terrifying.
