"This property is just sitting empty anyway. It makes perfect sense to put it in your name. Isn't that right, Deanna?" Charles asks, turning to his wife.

Listening to their explanation, Deanna finally believes she has made a terrible mistake. There is no mistress. Even though a nagging feeling in her gut tells her something is slightly off, the scene in front of her is perfectly domestic.

"Right, yes," Deanna clears her throat, trying to cover her embarrassment. "Jade risked everything to save me. A house is definitely warranted. It is so thoughtful of you, honey. I completely forgot about it. Thank goodness you remembered, or Jade would have felt slighted."

She is utterly mortified, relieved she did not mention her wild accusations in front of the kids. Thankfully, her argument with Charles happened outside the front door, saving her from complete humiliation. The crisis is averted, at least for now.

As soon as Deanna returns to the Dennis estate, she deletes the anonymous text messages. "Someone is clearly operating in the shadows to tear our family apart. How completely sickening!" she spits. "Jovani is undeniably cunning," Tara replies, her gaze turning cold. "She wouldn't have survived lurking in the shadows for so long, let alone successfully planted Jade in the Dennis family, if she were stupid."

Tara has to admit she got outmaneuvered this time. Her plan was simple: plant a seed of doubt in Deanna's mind, guide her to uncover Jovani's existence, and expose Charles's true colors. From there, Deanna would naturally start questioning Jade's legitimacy, bringing the fake heir's secret crashing down. She never expected Jovani to see through the trap instantly. Not only did Jovani dodge the bullet, but she also used the chaos to extort a luxury property for her daughter.
