Chapter 50
The hashtag #DirectorWyattArrested ForAssault rockets to the number one trending spot. The comment sections are an absolute warzone.
“Oh my god! Finally, someone took that creep down!”
“I heard he got caught red-handed trying to assault an actress in a hotel!”
“Serves him right! He should have been locked up years ago!”
Tara finishes giving her statement at the police station and quietly slips away. The second she steps through her front door, her phone buzzes wildly. It is a text from Jake: “Are you out of your mind?! Did you do this to Director Wyatt?!”
“Yeah, obviously. Too bad your little scheme blew up in your face,” Tara replies coldly.
“He’s a top-tier director! I set that up for your career! Do you have any idea how much money you just cost the company?!” Jake spams her with
furious texts.
Jake is losing his mind. With Tara pulling a stunt like this, no director will ever want to work with their company again. Who wants to risk getting thrown in jail? The entertainment industry is a swamp, and almost every director has skeletons in their closet. Damn it, her little crusade is going
to ruin Jade’s future too.
Tara scoffs, hitting the call button. “Why do I care about your losses? Cut the act, Jake. You know exactly what kind of monster Wyatt is. You threw me to the wolves, and now you want to cry about it? Watch your back. You’re next.”
“You…” Jake shudders, recognizing the lethal promise in her voice. Tara is acting like a complete lunatic.
“Your precious little sister pushed me off a cliff during the show. I haven’t forgotten. If she thinks she got away with it, she’s dead wrong. I’m going
to make her pay,” Tara warns viciously.
Jade probably thinks she is safe because there are no witnesses. But karma never misses a beat. When Tara had dragged herself into that cave, she found a hidden micro-camera near the entrance. The production team likely planted it to catch footage of the cast discovering the chest. Instead, it recorded Jade intentionally shoving her off the cliff. The camera had been damaged by the storm and shut down, but Tara had pocketed the memory card and spent the last few days repairing the corrupted files. Her hard work paid off. The footage is crystal clear, perfectly capturing Jade’s murderous betrayal.
She cannot wait to see the looks on the Dennis family’s faces when she drops that bomb. But not yet. She wants to let Jade enjoy her false sense of security a little longer.
“You… Jade would never do something like that! Stop trying to frame her!” Jake snaps back defensively.
‘Really? Go ask her yourself. Thank god I cut ties with your family; I’d hate to catch whatever toxic disease rots all your hearts,” Tara says, hanging up the phone immediately.
