The Scorned Heiress: No More Mercy novel Chapter 563

Gavin nods at his grandmother, then shuffles over to Tara, his tiny fingers nervously tugging at the hem of her dress. "I... I like her," he whispers.

It is a quiet confession, but everyone in the room hears it loud and clear. Danny raises a dark eyebrow, staring at the little boy. Is this pint-sized punk really trying to steal his girl right in front of him?

"Good, that's wonderful! As long as you're happy and no one is hurting you, that's all that matters," Lindsay says, beaming through her tears. Even though his speech is a bit clumsy, the fact that he is willing to string words together is a phenomenal start. She then turns to Tara, her expression filled with genuine remorse. "I am so sorry, young lady. We completely misunderstood the situation. I hope you can forgive us."

"It's fine. As long as the truth is out," Tara replies, giving a nonchalant nod. But she has no intention of letting Bonnie off the hook. "Though I do think someone here needs a harsh lesson in manners, lest she continue to embarrass the Sinclair family in public."

Bonnie's face drains of color. Tara is blatantly calling her out. She opens her mouth to fire back, but one look at the furious glares from her father and grandmother instantly shuts her down. She shrinks back, too scared to make a sound.

"Miss Dennis is entirely correct. Bonnie is young and speaks without thinking. I will make sure she is properly disciplined," Gregory states firmly, fulfilling his duty as the head of the Sinclair family.
