The drive feels incredibly short. The tension in the car is warm and relaxed, and before Danny knows it, the Rolls-Royce is pulling through the grand gates of the Sinclair estate.
He secretly wishes he had bribed his driver to take the scenic route just to secure a few more minutes alone with her.
As soon as the car stops, Tara steps out. Before she even reaches the entrance, Linden, the head butler, rushes forward with a wide, welcoming smile.
"Miss Dennis, you've arrived! Mrs. Sinclair has been eagerly waiting for you inside," Linden greets her with profound respect, treating her as the family's most honored guest.
Before Tara can reply, a sharp, arrogant voice cuts through the courtyard.
"Linden, what are you doing? She's just a rejected daughter from the Dennis family! Why are you groveling to an outsider? You're representing the Sinclair family—show some backbone!"
Bonnie marches out, glaring daggers at Tara. Knowing her grandmother and aunt had invited Tara over, Bonnie stationed herself by the entrance specifically to humiliate the woman before she could step foot inside.
She despises Tara. In her mind, this random celebrity stole Julianna's spotlight and ruthlessly snatched Danny away. Bonnie is fiercely loyal to Julianna and refuses to let Tara win.
"Who do you think you are, acting so rude to Tara?"
Danny steps out from behind the vehicle, his towering frame immediately casting a shadow over the confrontation. His gaze is predatory, devoid of any warmth.
Bonnie jumps, her eyes widening in sheer panic. She had no idea he was with her.
"Danny... how can you defend an outsider against me?" she stammers.
