Before leaving, Tara and Danny pitch the idea of weekend visits to Lindsay and Zoey. The two women are so overjoyed they practically burst into tears.

They couldn't possibly object. For years, they had begged Gavin to leave the house or socialize, and he had violently refused. This sudden willingness to step out of his comfort zone is a monumental breakthrough.

From the balcony of a separate wing of the estate, Bonnie watches them drive away, her face twisted in bitter resentment.

"I don't get it," Bonnie huffs, crossing her arms. "Why are Grandma and Aunt Zoey treating them like royalty? They even made Gavin fetch them food like a bunch of starving beggars. Tara definitely put him up to it. Danny would never be so cheap!"

She glares at the retreating taillights, furious that Danny's judgment is being clouded by that awful woman.

Beside her, Julianna remains dead silent, her gaze dark and unreadable.

"Julianna, what are we going to do?" Bonnie whines. "Gavin is our brother, but they look more like a family than we do! It's sickening!"

Bonnie is genuinely jealous. Before Tara arrived, Gavin was closest to her, second only to their grandmother and aunt.

"Kids are fickle," Julianna finally says, her voice eerily flat. "It's just a novelty. Give it a few weeks, and he'll lose interest in her."

Outwardly, she looks completely unbothered. Inwardly, Julianna's chest is tight with panic.
