Dropping the sweet, victimized sister act entirely, Jade glares at Alec with pure venom.
"Who gave the dumbest man in Capital City permission to speak?" Jade snaps, her voice dripping with arrogance. "I suggest you start packing. Charles left every single asset to my mother and me. You're trespassing. Get the hell out of our house."
Jade is practically vibrating with excitement. Yesterday, she was humiliated in front of the city's elite. Today, she gets to personally throw these useless brothers onto the street.
"Are you out of your damn mind?" Jake steps forward, his expression murderous. "My father gave you everything? You're delusional."
"Watch your mouth, Jade," Nikolai adds, his analytical lawyer's mind kicking into gear. "Assets are transferred via legally binding documents, not whatever fairy tale you've convinced yourself of."
Nikolai's hands clench into fists. Looking at the two women who nearly cost him his life, he has to actively restrain himself from wrapping his hands around their throats.
"Oh, we have the documents right here," Jovani says with a sickeningly sweet smile. She pulls a thick stack of paperwork from her designer tote and tosses it onto the marble table. "Take a look, Mr. Attorney. You deal with wills and asset transfers all the time. You tell me if they're real."
Jovani isn't worried in the slightest. Gregory handled the forgery, meaning it is airtight. Plus, she had spent over a decade meticulously copying Charles's signature. She had practiced it until it was flawless—perfect enough to fool both handwriting experts and AI authentication software.
